Was awoken at 7:30 this morning not by the alarm clock, but by the most painful type of cramp I've ever experienced in my life that quite literally made me cry out with pain. After 10 minutes of massaging my calf to try and cure it (I could even feel the tension in my muscles) I decided to head for the pain killers got out of bed put one foot on the first step to go down stairs and my right foot with no resistance turned in on it's self and I went arse over tit down the full flight, now those that don't know my stairs and quite frankly nearly non of you do let me tell you they are steep well that’s an under statement they are 1 degree away from being a set of ladders and without a banister they are a sod to negotiate after a drink or 3
Anyhow I tumble to the bottom try and stand up and again fall over, WTF is going on thinks I  20 mins later after being up and about for a bit I can just about hobble around with the aid of my great granddads walking stick that sits in the hall. I was due to go to the doctors this week anyhow so I make my way down this morning to see him.
What’s the problem Mr Sheddy ask's he!!! I've forgotten how to fookin walk I tell him and go on to explain these mornings events. After getting me to walk around his room for a short while he asks if I still drive for a living. No is my reply.................... Strange you have all the symptoms of being in a cramped space for long periods :? and goes on to explain that my muscles that control my right foot are not as they should be due to being in an unusual position for so long :? My mind flashes back to my cramped PC desk with leads books and paper work crammed in to the space where my feet should go and the fact that I was in chat until dumbass o'clock this morning.
Anyhow to stop me blabbing on longer he showed me how to massage my own foot back in to it's natural position (strangely something I had to do on my newborn daughter many years ago due to her being cramped in the womb) and told me I need more exorcise, i.e.: walking or running
I'm a bit better now have struggled through work but it's still not right by any means and come to think of it I have started limping a tad of late but I just put it down to getting older, crap knee's and plenty of knocks and bumps in my youth but evidently not.
Just thought I'd share it with you all as a warning that you need plenty of foot room and to change positions regally  ............................................ if you use your PC for as many hours as me :?
Now if anyone wants me I'll be in a hot bath trying to teach my foot to work again
