Immediate responses are not always possible (some people have lives away from the keyboard). They may have other offers to consider. They may have taken ill and be in hospital! Or the other way of looking at it is......Shit happens! Get over it!

Just as a general sort of moan regarding the original post.
Most of the discussion about people not showing common decency revolves around the adverts system. Probably only about 5% of the people who post advertisements ever take the time to post in the forum or use the chatroom. rolleyes

I do get frustrated with moans about people on the ads system being posting on here. confused

It feels like "OK, I am pissed off with someone, I can't whinge at them, so I am going to whinge at you lot instead" mad

When someone says "90% of the people on here are timewasters" They are generally talking about the photo ads section, the 10% of ad posters that are not timewasters, are the ones that are in here. cool

So if you want to cut out the time wasted on time wasters, only reply to adverts for people who also use the forum or chatroom. wink

When and IF we get a reply to an ad, we reply to say thanks or no thanks etc, but one message i got last week, took the biscuit, the huge amount of effort and thought that went into this:-

To be honest I only PM a few people. These people have tended to br people I have met or talked to on the forum.
I am lucky being a single male with No Add that people dont pm me that mucth. I would rather recive a nice PM from some1 i like every cpl of days than a pm every hour from some young twat( not on awomen lol

) that is pretending to be afemale.

Why waste time on timewasters? What do you gain by getting stressed about people you feel have let you down? If they're timewasters, what have you lost by having no contact with them? (OK, you lost 3 hours, but frankly that's your fault - if they haven't kept their appontment within 10 minutes they're not going to.)
I don't remember anyone wasting my time. I'm not saying it's never happened, I just don't remember it because I have better things to focus my attention on... like people who don't waste my time. smile

many advertisers don't realise how much response they will get. So they just get tired and bored of dealing with all the emails.
You will get very few responses from the advertisers. I don't actually appreciate getting a sorry no thanks, but I'm okay with that.

I have one I can`t be bothered to reply to! Well, that`s not entirely true, there were just too many avenues for me to take, I can`t choose! Excuse the enthusiasm but we very rarely get these types of PMs. It contained the line.

Now, I could ignore it, reply with sarcasm, offer advice, or and this one is my favourite, put it here for you lot to dissect!
To the member who sent it, read the following and learn a little about not doing the research. I get to giggle, the members get to take the piss whilst you get to stay anon, and you might learn something, tuck it away for future reference. Everybody is happy!

Surely the openmindedness of swinging should mean people are more open and upfront with each other.......so just a quick 'yeah' or 'neh' is a reasonable expectation for everyone, whoever initiates proceedings. I would expect everyone knows they will not get a positive everytime and accept that without getting particularly upset, but at least it brings things to an end without the waiting and wondering.

I got an email like that last week, but they couldn'thave read my ad properly as one of there criteria in thier ad I haven't done. so I wrote a one line reply saying so. flipa

I have sent pm's to add's and have had only 2 replies. But hey life sucks sometimes lol. I don't care if someone doesn't reply after all no one ever goes into a pub , walks up to the 1st good looking woman he see's , asks her for a shag and gets it ( well he would usually "get it" ie a swift kick to the gonads lol ) so why expect anything different online lol.
Yes there are a lot of sad wankers posing as women just to wind the guys up but if they haven't a life offline then thats their problem , I prefer going out to the pub and chatting face to face only way you'll ever really get on lol.
Davie ( will be AWOL for a few weeks due to having a close female mate move into my spare room , where my pc is , till she gets her council house sorted out ) .......... once seen never forgotten , always turns up in ya nightmares rofl lol

Big Scots I fully agree with you.
I never reply to adds as find that the times i have i have never got a reply. So now i just tend to talk in the CAFE and then if people want to PM me they can.
So far being on the site in nearly 3 months I have only ignored 1 PM - due to lazyness i might ad. I find i have been accepted more through the cafe than i ever would be replying to adds.

Guilty as charged!!!
When we first joined this site we did reply to all mails that we got. Unfortunately, because we were doing this, we didn't have time to meet anyone. It can become a full time job answering everyone. We have now said in our ad that we don't have the time to reply always.
We certainly aren't timewasters. If someone writes to us with something that catches our eye straight away, we will reply.
