following on from little gem's whatch out she is back thread
who does the navingation when you are making your way around the munch's, You, the partner or SatNav?
Personally I have turned getting lost in the middle of nowhere into an art form biggrin
smile
I use GPS (SatNav) PDA by Medion.
Got me to Leicester Munch with an accuracy of 2 meters.
Fred
I ALWAYS navigate when we go anywhere for OBVIOUS reasons :eeek:
I don't always take the quickest route cos I have to include as many dogging locations as possible lol
I can get lost on a straight road.....
redface
Minx xx
Mars always tries to use me  banghead
I`ve never driven, I`m route dyslexic.
Venusxxx
I am not as bad as I thought at knowing which way to go.
I nearly got lost on the M1 yesterday but my keen sense of "OMG IT'S THE WRONG SIDE OF THE F***ING MOTORWAY!" kicked in quite well and hey presto I found the right road and turn off in no time at all!

Then you got lost getting out of the car biggrin :D
weres ya sense of adventure
buy a map
get lost
chat to lots of people on the side of the road " oi mrs weres .......................
yes women do ask directions
its a hoot
i use rac route planner:
and then i get lost with all the A & B roads it gives you dunno
like red stilletto says 'chat to lots of people on the side roads' "excuse me but where's......." or "excuse me but how do you get to.........?" it is always good for me redface
cool Well, I have to give credit where credit is due, and say that mapreading is one of Kit's strong points. It didn't even faze her when we had to get from Greenwich to the M40 one afternoon and I said "Lets go through the middle of London this time, just for fun"
And she managed it without a single wrong turn. 8-)

"someone" will dissagree with this..... but I am actually a good mapreader.
the only reason we go wrong is because he follows half of my directions.. makes the other half up.. and then blames me!
sigh
Im pretty good, i get myself from Herts to Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool fine, no problem.
BUT just getting from my friends house to a pub approx 5 miles away, can get me lost!! OK so i missed two bridges as landmarks, someone moved them then put them back again OK!!
But at least I dont run out of bloody petrol  rolleyes hehehehehe
oooo maybe u should hitch hike for real adventure!
sadly though too many weirdos out there now sad
mind u i still live in hope of seeing a fit hitch hiker in the stylee of brad pitt in thelma & louise mmmmmmmmm boink
feel i may be more than a little deluded  am crap @ map reading anyway and tend to drive around in circles for hours until i randomly find the place i wanted to be!
well if i saw you hitch hiking jess there would be sooo much rubber burning on the road it could start a fire  sillyhwoar:

My sister and I used to hitch hike to the stable when we were younger confused Wouldnt dream of it now!
I use multi map or AAroute finder but mostly I just get in the car and drive
I use garmin etrex. Its great for dogging too, specially in getting to new places, or posting possible locations on a forum.
No more excuses for me! I got TomTom GPS today.. and yes, I just wanted to tell someone.

Nice one! Maybe I'll program that p/code in as a fave.
Vix,
I've got a tomtom had it since about November, and wouldn't be without it
Saves miles of driving round looking for customers and munches
MInd you a certian passenager often complains that 'jane' has got it wrong, odd thing is we always end up at the right place!
Well as some of you know I drive big white first aid kits at weekends... so satnav was the only way to go as I normally all over the country with it.
Love satnav as I have the sense of direction of a concussed duckling in a car...
Only thing now, getting right address in the satnav in the first place, there is no hope for me rolleyes
hi there what do you need sat nav for,the choice is pink or brown lol
only joking i have bought the garmin one from ebay and what a tool saves so much messing about, pop the post code in and off we go!!!!
A mate of mine and I set off with the girls for a do not so long ago. It was the first time he'd used the satnav on his new car - terribly proud of it he was. He even said 'I don't follow every instruction it gives 'cos it doesn't always know the best way'.
We ended up in the middle of a potato field in Lincolnshire - God's truth!! I had real difficulty in not PMSL but I could hear barely suppressed giggling from the rear seat!!
Does no-one use a map anymore? confused
I drove from Lincolnshire to Kent Yesterday on business - I got there and the bloke I was meeting says "You found it easily have you got Sat Nav?". :? My reaction is - no you gave me directions and I have a map, of course I found it!
If computers stopped working no-one would be able to leave their drive without getting lost! lol
Roger the Dragon cool
P.S. - Watch me get lost going to the next munch and having to ring for directions! redface
