Bear with me, I have just woken up.
No idea if this will work or not, so try deleting itunes on the new machine, then adding the music folder, and then changing the name of the main folder so it does not contain any reference to itunes, then reinstall itunes, and then set it to search for music.

I do not have this player, but they work in much the same way. Try this first remove everything from the library. Second make sure you have copied the tracks to your new laptop. The correct drive is normally 'C'. The best place for it is ether 'my music' or 'public music'. Remove the old hard drive. and any other removable memory.
Next have your player search and import all music on on your lap top. Note most, if not all players do not move copy or effect your music files. All they do is list the files along with a reference location. This means that if the location is a removable drive and not connected the file can not be played.
Good luck.

Mal try quitting from iTunes. Then relaunch the app while pressing the option (alt) key. A dialogue box should come up asking you which library you'd like to use. Then browse to the iTunes folder you wish to use.
It may be slightly different on Vista but that's the basic principle.
