I've seen this in the theatre and in the cinema - complete with candle, water pistol and all!
Just an old Rocker - puts me in mind of fantastic party at the Flintstones. MrFC in gold lame and the rest of the blokes in suspenders and black stockings. Mind you Tim was the STAR of the party in his green gown, pink marigolds and outrageous behaviour. All he said for 12 hours was 'in just 7 days, I can make you a ma aaa an'.
Those were the days!
'When Eddie said he didn't love his teddy, you knew he was a no-good kid'
Oh - all that AND Meatloaf lol
:P
a few years ago I was in it.......was in chorus and understudy for Riff Raff.....played him 22 times altogether during the 72 day tour......sure is excellent fun....and doesn't tarnish with time.
I would love to see this in the theatre. If only for the dressing up side of things it would be a fantastic night out. I keep checking the web site but they have not said when they will be touring again.
I don't have it in me to volunteer but perhaps it could be an idea for a future SH event???
Get enough people and we could take over a cinema screen???
dunno
Not quite the same but for us Meat loaf fans (Jags) he is touring the UK again this year, limited number of shows over the summer with the first in dublin (June) with Status Qua and the second in Liverpool. It says Meat loaf and special guests for Liverpool, and Meat says he will be doing all his old stuff like bat out of hell, paradise, you took the words etc etc. tickets went on sale this morning.
correct wigam couple......in 12 monthes will actually be released for ameateur theatre to have a go id they want......it is a shame in some ways.....but it has been running now for over 25 years and so there is only so much a professional group can bring to a performance.......must admit my greatest memory was seeing the last performance at the comedy theatre in Londaon whem Tim Curry cam back for a week to play Frank-N Furter
there is no better frank-n-furter I'm afraid.....the orginal is always the best.

The Tyneside Film Theatre do 'Desert Island Films' - pay a small fee and they will put on any film you like. Mind you I'd go for Diva or Subway or, at a push, Highlander!!
:P

Liverpool - went to the Pops season about 2 years ago and saw Jools Holland - excellent he was too.
Meatloaf is SO tempting redface surprisedops:
Meatloaf just so does it for me!
Sat here listening to Bat Out of Hell. It is now banned out of the car, cause I always tend to drive too fast when it is on. Turn the music on full blast and it can be so tempting to put your foot down, so the track is banned! Sounds really sad but when I cant get to sleep I sing Bat Out of Hell and Paradise By the Dashboard Light to myself and normally fall asleep before I get to the end of them both!
It was long ago and far away and it's so much better than it is today!
It never felt so good, it never felt so right, it glowed like the metal on the edge of the knife.
No wonder I like dogging!
Now I am ready for sleep, and just heard that Chipy has managed to book himself some tickets for the Liverpool Concert. Now wouldn't it be funny if we were sat near each other lol
Hagrid, just get your tickets booked for the Liverpool show, and we may all end up doing a Swinging Heaven outing to watch Meat Loaf!!
Right, gotta go and get ready for the start of the film, see you all tomorrow!
DR SCOTT! BRAD! DR SCOTT! JANET! ROCKY! DR SCOTT! BRAD! DR SCOTT! JANET! ROCKY! DR SCOTT! BRAD! DR SCOTT! JANET! ROCKY!
fantastic biggrin :D :D :D :D
Got to say 1st time I saw it I was only 16 and just left school. Saw in on stage and fell in love immediatly. Then saw in on film, then to top it all, last year I went to the theatre again but this time they had an interpreter standing at the side signing the whole show (songs and all).
It was BRILLIANT, even the interpreter was in long boots suspenders and basque.
It was fantastic and if I ever went to see it again It would have to be a signed version
xxxxxxx
I can see you shiver with antici ...............................

It was on in a pub we were in last night, I'd forgotten how good it was (with familiarity breeding contempt and all that !! smile )
You can get a amateur licence for the rocky horror show if u apply to the fan club in Hildenbourgh, but it's for one night only and their are a couple of songs u can't do.
have played both riff raff and frank in twoversions
It's just a jump to the left
and a step to the right
