cock?
or he rocks?
I personally think the man's hilarious!!
watched an episode of top gear a little while back where he started a review on a car and said:
"this car is so good that my words cannot actually do it justice, so im just going to make stupid noises while i floor it!" (car accelerates) "ooooooooeeeeerrRRRRAAAAGGGHHH!!!!!"
comic genius. perhaps arrogant, but still a funny guy. smile
got to agree with you on that one .......but what makes him really funny is that he is a complete male chauvinist and makes no apologies for it worship

Yes love him. I think hes funny. But also James May is funny on top gear.
Give me diddy Hammy anyday
Clarkson comes across as a pretentious, opinionated wanker most of the time but what he doesn't know about cars isn't worth the ink. The challenges they do are side splittinly funny, especially the touring caravan challenge rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
He's a lanky human version of Marmite, you either love him or hate him.
What if JC was covered in Marmite?

To be honest I think thats just his presenting style him sort of being charecature of him self. But it works It's a great show and It wouldn't work so well if it didn't have those presenters biggrin
All 3 of them get my vote
I must admit....i am warming to him.....my sons are big Top Gear fans....so when its on i usually watch it.....and i find some of the remarks he and the other two make.....hilarious..
Yep sat down at a friends one day and they announced they were putting his show on cos they always watch it yaaaaaawwwwwwnnnn!!!!!! I thought. Then I laughed all the way thru it! Great fun and the MCP part is alot of the comedy :giggle:
Love
Fire xx
For all the comments about him being an arogant, sexist non PC wanker, the amount of women that love the show is suprising to the people that hate him.
He is what he is, he's cool cos he uncool, he's funny cos he says what he wants and isn't afraid to say what others probably wouldn't and he has rescued TG from going the same way as TOTP.
If there was one programme that would persuade me to go back into Broadcasting it would be Top Gear
(BTW, the best presenter is Top Gear Dog :gigglesmile
I used to dislike him a lot - and my gf felt the same. But since watching top gear (the current series) I find myself laughing my head off at his quips and comments.
My gf is even warming to him too.

Jeremy is so funny but little one Richard is sooo cute I would lick marmite off him rolleyes
The guy rocks
I met him once a few years ago, we were organising a gig at the same airfield where they film the show.
I went to the cafe (in the control tower dunno )with one of the organisers to discuss security arangments and Mr' Clarkson was in there with some of his crew, we had a little chat and i must say he was very different from what he puts over on the telly, very polite, attentive and interesting man.
Love clarkson, says what he thinks and is funny to.

Perry McCarthy is 'the stig'

Perry Mcarthy was The Stig
They do in fact have several Stigs as they are not always available...
I know somebody who works for Top Gear and since Perry was "outed" the ID of any Stig is now kept closer to their chests than their cashpoint PIN numbers..
Top Gear is an entertainment programme and a good one. It has however left a gap in the market for a motoring show for the 99% who won't buying Astons and Zontas this year, will try not to crash the caravan, and who really would like to know if the new Yaris is better than the competition.
(I'm not saying there IS a new Yaris btw, it just came to mind).
Yep, Top Gear is funny, now. It went through a very dull patch a while back when it was pretending to be too serious - before the new line-up. It works cos the 3 presenters are so different but aren't affraid to take the piss out of each other for it and don't mind having the piss taken in return. Clarkeson is a MCP, if you scratch under the surface most men are to some extent, he's just a bit more honest about it than some, which is kind of endearing. I've always thought he was funny. My only gripe is about the green issues that he takes so lightly and the fact that most of us mere mortals will never be able to afford a lot of the cars they show - but I suppose at least we get to see them.
H.x
Clarkeson is an arrogant cock who's opinions are usually diametrically opposed to mine and who frequently deserves a slap.
That said, he does make me laugh and I kinda like him .... go figure dunno
Does anyone remember when he got some boffins at Oxford Uni to make a device so he could have a ciggy whilst he was diving and he had a coughing fit at the bottom of the pool.
rotflmao
I think the reason we like Clarkson is because he is basic and down to earth and the British especially don't like intellectuals. He uses this basic tendency to trash any constructive thought because we dont like complications and really want some simple answers. He uses good comic timing and witicisms to trash everything like a bulldozer so that we can give in to our urges and enjoy being lunatics about cars etc. That in turn makes him feel better about himself and where it really gets clever he gets paid for being crap in a clever way.
Phew, what a rant!? Yes he's funny but he leaves a bad after taste.
Still, he likes my Citroen Berlingo so he can't be all bad can he?
Shay
I know who the stig is
but im not telling lol
im jeremy clarkson you see
For me the show works, Clarkson does what we all would love to do nowadays in public (apart from bonking) is speak our minds...without being harrassed by the thought politically correct police!, the racial you cannot have christmas police etc etc!
The challenges work, they crease me...the Hamster really rocks, but the challenge with captain slow and his aeroplane...i nealry died laughing!
For me they all are fantastic...long may they piss people off. lol
