How many of you have ogt gadgets and stuff in the kitchen that you either love or hate, cant use enough or have never taken out the box that aunty gave it you in??
Our most favourite thing is a slow cook pot, you chuck meat and veg in it before bed and turn it on in the morning before work and come home after a long day to the heart warming smell of home cooked food with no effort what so ever
Our worst or least favourite thing is a juicer we have used it a couple of times and with great results but it takes forever cos you have to stand over the bloody thing feeding it the right sized pieces of fruit and takes forever to clean, it now collects dust on the top of the cupboard
Sorry if this dont make sense just thought id humour dave - but hes right the juicer is crap and should go in the bin. but its been on the top of the cupboard for at least 3 years and im used to seeing there
Jane
The least favourite thing in my old kitchen, was the ex-wife :boxing:
The slow cooker definitely gets my vote, and our breadmaker is pretty good too.
Mrs Lancs agrees with Jane that the juicer should STAY as you may need it one day and then what will you do?..
buy another?
do without?
hmmmmm a real dilemma.........................
And what would you put in that gap???
You could always replace it with a new state of the art one, but i think it SHOULD STAY!!
Our most useless piece of kitchen equipment is the electric hand blender which Mrs lancs used about twice 5 years ago....
She never used it since washing it while still switched on.....pmsl....she still got the scars on her finger.....lol

Funny that, cos was just thinking as I was mashing the carrots and swede BY HAND that I needed a hand blender
But
The Brevil (sp) toasted sandwich maker ..................
How much mess can one toasted cheese sandwich make?? Did anybody actually ever manage to clean one of the bloody things properly???
Steve
You can now get brevil toasties that have removable plates so you can stick em in the dishwasher
Not quite a kitchen gadget, but a good idea all the same.
I love:-
My hand blender - ace.
My bread maker - double ace.
'leccy tin opener - couldn't be without it.
Coffee machine - there was a time I didn't have one. Bizzare.
I hate:-
My slow cooker, coz I actually don't have one, and never have. But after reading this thread, I might just have to get one!
Kitchen .. er whats that :giggle:

A steam thing that's meant to get the grease off your oven. start it up and it melts the grease then try and wipe it off. Noooooooo it sets solid as soon as you take the steam off "Barst**d. It's teasing me!!
one of the best is the Sink! Marigolds on, in lovely hot water, hands riding up my legs lifting my skirt, and then being taken watching the world go by outside...........there's no dishwasher here
my george foreman is a must - especially for my steaks.
useless item is the juicer - cos i dont eat fruit !
I hate that white thing in the middle that gets warm :giggle:

Best things in my kitchen are:-
my remoska, just throw things in and hey presto, not much mess and brilliant for jacket potatoes
my hubby in cleaning mode
Worst things in my kitchen are:-
several coffee machines, why do people insist on buying them for us when they know I don't like coffee
my hubby in cooking mode, he sees no need to tidy/clean after he makes a mess
