never a lender, nor a borrower be.
so they say.
but this hs nothing to do with either.
those little people behind the skirting boards are surely fictitious, and speaking purely for myself,Im more than likely to be in need of cash than be in the position to have some spare for others... However, there is a period coming this way soon that I believe has a tradition these days bound in Judea-Christian belief... called Lent?
Maybe, and most probably used as cover... a way to smother pre-existing, pre-christian belief systems. But we won't go into all that eh?
What I think we're supposed to do is Give Something Up  for a period of forty days!!! ( II: The Revenge)
I shall give up spending... as I have nowt to spend.. which brings me back full-circle to that 'lender' business... (I still can't bring myself to believe in the 'Borrowers'... nor the christian thing, come to that... but I digress, once again.)
After a little light-hearted waffle... I suspect this has already been posted?
Nevermind.
so, what will you be giving up, if anything at all... and why?
BTW, what day does Shrove Tuesday fall on next week?
... and what does *shrove* mean?
