I thought last night's episode was brilliant. I loved the Camberwick Green introduction. I was brought up on Camberwick Green and Trumpton and the sight of DI Huny beating up a nounce was just a bit disturbing biggrin confused :D :D

I also saw (well, it was on the box, I glanced up occassionaly) the majority of the programme last night...
the Camberwick Green intro, as you say Keeno, Brilliant... particularly mixed up with lead characters *speeding* and twitchiness....
Stay out of Camberwick Green!

I missed most of this series...... went away and caught majority of it in another country! I missed the last episode! Grrrr!!!
Then I come back home, hoping theres a second series or least a repeat of the first so I could see the last episode. To find I watched the first series abroad and missed most of the second series here before I went! Confused I was!!
so, please does anyone know what happened in the end (please pm if so :smilesmileor if its being repeated?
I did a google search to see if i could find out what happened but the Beeb has stopped updating the site info on it!
I did notice that a brand new series with a different name is starting though......has some of the same people in it an has a similar theme to LoM's! Anyone know anything about that?
xanaisx
I love the series too - can't wait for the new version....Ashes to Ashes...
I'm not sure if it's being repeated, but you can find more info and spoilers about the ending to series 2 at:

and

As for the new series, it's called Ashes to Ashes and will star Philip Glenister as DCI Gene Hunt, and it's set in 1981 London. I think it is due to screen on BBC1 in early 2008.
It has also been confirmed that Gene Hunt will be joined by DS Ray Carling (Dean Andrews) and DC Chris Skelton (Marshall Lancaster), with all three transferred from North West District CID to the Metropolitan Police. No John Simm tho'
Aside from Eighties’ fashions, Gene will also have a new female sidekick, DCI Alex Drake, who finds herself back in time after an accident in 2008,interacting with characters she’d previously read about in reports logged by a certain Sam Tyler.....
Oooooooooo timboha, thank you for that!! kiss Its been driving me mad not knowing what happened in the end!! I shall have a looksee at the links.
The new series sounds interesting, a shame that John simm is in it...liked him!
Thanks again

If you miss this fantastic series you should be able to catch up if you've got tv on demand.
When I was ill a few weeks ago I watched every episode one after the other :giggle:
I missed the ace philip Glenister in Ashes To Ashes the other night though sad

That they'd better start assembling the boys from the fort
And keep Mrs Honeyman right out of sight
Cos there's gonna be a riot down in Trumpton tonight'
