Life on Mars
10:00pm - 11:00pm
BBC4
Drama series about Sam Tyler, a Manchester detective who suffers a near-fatal car crash and wakes up in what seems to be 1973. When the body of a beautiful young woman is found in wasteland, DCI Gene Hunt fears a serial killer he thought he'd sent down in the late 1960s may still be at large. For Sam, the victim, a Beauvoir beauty rep like his own Aunt Heather, triggers vivid recollections of childhood. Sam and Annie are led into a world of suburban swingers' parties to solve the case.

my mum & dad went to a nieghbours party once when I was about 9yrs. They came home early with steam coming out of my mums ears.
They realised that everyone had thrown their keys in a bowl & they were approached by another couple.
For days she was going mad about this -its a standing joke now
Wonder what she'd say about me now wink

Bugga I missed it...
Saw last weeks and really enjoyed it. Wonder if its repeated on BBC3 or 4? Anyone know? smile
bbc4 10pm tuesday i think
Thanks Scooter...will keep an eye out next week kiss
Think I missed it last night because I was watching the final part of Fallen Angel..
I was saying last night to Martell that when I was about 11 and lived down south, one of my friends in the 70's showed me some pics of his mum and step dad. He told me they were swingers and all the people in the pics were naked  .
So I suppose I knew the word 'swinging' in the 70's and the 'keys' thing was also mentioned then lol.
I watched 'Life on Mars' last night and it reminds me so much of the fashion and attitudes of the 70's its scary  lol
Is my telly on alien time??

You could have travelled in time, you could be mad, you could be in a comma but you're certainly on another planet.

have'nt you got to have 10 generations lived in the same house and still have both your great grand parents alive to verify that you are cornish bolt
:giggle:
I was wondering whether I should make the effort to work DI Hunt's catchphrase "limp wristed Sallys" into my everyday language. confused
A friend suggested it might, just might be offensive
or indeed I might get punched
What do you think?
I liked the episode thou I did miss the whole "why is he there" story arc this week.
Thought it made a pertinent point that may resonate with couples who play re swinging while remaining true to your partner.
Love the theme tune, they should do a dance remix.
