I think this is the best idea(s) so far.

Of course it is - it's mine lol

If the press really do want to understand and get a balanced idea about the swinging scene and SwingingHeaven...
Why don't you (the Admin) get them to produce a list of the type of questions they have and what they want to hear about. Then post the questions on the site, allowing a range of members to 'openly' give their views and comments. Then either:
A - just let them read it.
B - remove all the silly crap and send it to them.
This would deter people from:
1 - saying shit they shouldn't.
2 - gossiping a pile of crap.
3 - dishing the dirt for dosh.
4 - slipping up and saying wayyyyyyyyy too much in terms of personal details and sensitive information.
Thus:
- we would all know the purpose of the questions (transparency is a wonderful thing)
- we would all know what was being said.
- we could challenge any bollox before it hit the news stand.
- no nasty surprises.

I think this is the best idea(s) so far.
seconded
Thanks for the response st3v3

We put the note up for a day and thanks to all of you that replied.
Thanks also for all of the comments in this thread as there are two more things that we have to put in place before we put any members in contact with any jounalists;
1. Conditions on the Journalist appoaching us.
2. Guidelines for any members talking to the journalists
The last thing that we would want is gutter press type articles about SH, so we will be careful and if any of you have any suggestions for 1 or 2 above please feel free to pm me in case I miss something.

Modern journalistic techniques are second only to those used by scammers to extract your hard earned.. don't make it easy for them. If they have a thread of a story by now, they will print it anyway - with or without your help and no amount of pleading later to "correct" half baked notions will have any realistic effect. It'll just sell more newspapers and that is their ONLY motive!
But, one thing you should always remember; today's "news" is tomorrow's sausage wrapper.
I'm no Max Clifford, but I would strongly advise against any involvement at any level, no matter how inoccuous it all seems at the time.

Addendum:
One further point to follow the ‘Thus’…
If there was a nasty surprise (i.e. all twisted bollox) when the article was published, there wouldn’t be a witch-hunt to try and find out who the gobby-grass was (which along the way invariably involves a few innocent people finding themselves standing on a pile of twigs and a slight singeing smell filling the air).

Absolutely! Any press involvement will come with an agenda, any comments will just be grist to the agenda. Don't believe there is any such thing as a fair journalist who will "give your side" to a story. There is no such animal.
Any information they want is already here on the site, 30 minutes will get them all they need anyway. What they really want is names and faces. Keep your heads down.

 indeed !!
but, there are far too many ( "thankyou for all your replies") people on here willing to open their mouths, for whatever reason, directly. The warnings come too late after the invitation went site-wide I'm afriad.
Do I have a problem with all this? you bet I do.
just a thought,
im guessing the members of the press are actually members of this site so they could take a look around. are we to be told their user names? or can they just approach us and we would be none the wiser?
i know if it happened it would be to late in the day to take legal action as the damage would be done but.... how much rights does a person have if on cam. What im refering to is could the press take stills from cams and publish these pics? are they allowed to take pics from the gallery ( not something that concerns me personally as i will not have public pics up)
i think it will be cams off, pics protected and use this as a wake up call that the site isnt a safe heaven i used to once think it was.
