I am a typically poorly educated Brit and speak only English. I am relying on two more educated cultures to cope with my GCSE French and non-existent Spanish. Worlass speaks Italian. We will get by I think.

Im having the same problem here in the flat-east.
and by the way... who on earth was it said:

they were wrong about Norwich, and Im having to do a lot of walking... it's all blasted hills down this way.
I reckon they dumped all the spoils from digging out the dykes here. Its the only explanation I can think of.

I think that I shall just wave Euros around and point.Remind me to tell you about the time my darling hubby mimed the need for a "big horse" and a "little horse" in order to make the kids "happy" in France. It has to be demonstrated. So bloody funny that as I was sitting in the car looking on I had to call our eldest back in the UK for a blow by blow of what was happening with tears running down my cheeks.
