also i feel there is something false about women who wear huge amounts of make up all the time r they hiding something confused: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect yours chestybabe. BUT I don't think its false if a woman wants to wear make up, whether loads or little of it...in her own house, out shopping or out socially or wherever. We have one body, one image, one life.... if someone wants to wear 'full on' make up all of the time..who am I to judge whether they are false or not? They don't have a duty to appear 'natural' to others. Some may be hiding something...but if they have their reasons for that..that's their perogative, I think. For sure, there are men out there who prefer the natural look and those that like the dolled up look. And that is what makes the world go round.
I for one can't help but look at woman who's make up is almost like an art form and really compliments her.
I'm not sure that they're hiding something but I know when I wear make-up it's more fpr my own protection than anything else - a confidence boost. So I'm wondering if it's worn as a barrier - a 'front'. If that's the case then I wonder how they'd feel if they had to go out without make-up on.
Plus I envy a little the organisational skills of having the time to put the slap on before leaving the house, I'm usually late where ever I go and rarely have time to think 'does this lippy clash with my blouse'.
As a slight aside, have I started making sense yet?

Almost.
In fact, to me; you always do.
But then, that doesn't really say a lot redface

Have to disgree with this.
My Mum wouldn't leave the house without her makeup, she's not happy opening the front door without it even. However, there is nothing false about her, she just likes to present herself well, and she feels that makeup is integral to her image.
As someone who is happy to go shopping in 'jamas I cause her some slight despair but she copes lol

I just like to look different when I do go out.

 same here, day to day I dont go out without eyeliner/ mascara but usually little else unless i'm particularly making an effort
which is also why usually for a munch or vanilla night out etc, i tend to 'put my face on' - because i like to make the effort and look a bit different to how i do everyday when it really doesnt matter whether i look like shite or not lol
Same here.
I very rarely, if ever, wear make up day to day. My face feels clogged if I do, and I rub my eyes far to much so usually end up looking like a panda lol.
I "make an effort" if I'm going out for a meal, night out etc and change out of the scruffy hippy clothes into something smart/dressy and do my make up.

Well.... yes we notice!!
We notice those that don't make an effort... just as you girls would notice a fella who isn't shaven or has clean clothes on or made an effort with his hair.
No need to go over the top though.... personal pride is a good thing.

I suppose it depends on what the individual considers making an effort and how they feel comfortable.
Day to day I feel most comfortable fresh, showered and in clean clothes. If I wear full make up during the day (even dressy clothes if it is just to go to the supermarket) I feel like it's "over the top" and I feel self-conscious and daft.
I was just about to write that I don't really care what people think.......but that isn't true. I don't care if they think I haven't made an effort, but would worry people were looking at me thinking "why the hell is she done up like a dogs dinner to buy a pint of milk?"

Not sure if you're referring to people you meet or just in general!!
In my case it isn't about "not making an effor"! When I go shopping, to work or take the dog for a walk, I don't want people to be looking at me. When I go out I do, so I will put a small amount of make up on and dress up suitably.

You know when you're a "real couple" when . . . . . .
You're just about to leave the house for a quick Tesco trip, and she says . . .
"Go upstairs and brush your hair ! ! ! "
surprisedops:
Or . . . .
We needed to nip to the corner shop yesterday for cat biscuits.
I caught out of the corner of my eye, looking me up and down.
Methinks "Hmmmm, she's 'checking me out' again"
But in reality, she's checking that I'm "fit to be seen in public with"

Well . . . . . . . . that leaves me in very, very bad shape surprisedops:
I wear makeup every single day! regardless of what Im doing....
I feel better with it on and it makes no difference whether Im going out to work/to the shops/out for the eve etc....work & weekends I wear full makeup in natural colours when Im going out or making an extra effort wink I make it a bit stronger but never over the top? lol :P Ive always got some make up on!
Theres plenty of gorgeous women out there who have great skin and look great without makeup....but theres also plenty of women who Ive looked at and thought...well perhaps they shouldve used a little something before they stepped out of their front door lol :P
I dont care what anyone thinks....I feel happier and more confident with it on!
and as a single woman....well ya never know who you might bump into at the supermarket!
well girls I just cant get by without it .............or maybe even with it , havnt quite got it right yet !!!
Photos look ok hun.

I usually wear eyeliner and mascara to go to work and only don full slap for a night out as my skin is a bit dodgy sad
As for wearing make-up to go shopping, no chance-I have been known to pop to Tesco in my slippers redface although I don`t make a special effort to look scruffy-it comes naturally ;)
Minx x x
I used to wear make-up everyday, all day.
It was a protection thing I think. I wanted to feel good about myself and the make-up made me feel accepted and was a kind of mask.
These days I can go days, even weeks without wearing any make-up. I don't "need" it like I used to.
I do make an effort if I'm going out for a day or evening or I'm seeing friends but it's not a vanity thing, just showing them that I have made an effort.
I've never been one for full-on makeup anyway. No lippy, foundation or anything. It's just my eyes that I do: eyeshadow, eye liner and clear mascara.
Don't you just love it when the mascara or eyeliner runs off on the pillows/bedcover during passionate moments? Then you know which man is playing behind his woman's back by the speed he rushes to change the bedsheets, clean the marks up, burn the evidence! LOL

Devious woman lol....... lol
A kiss on the cheek, then lick lick lick my lips to remove the deposit of foundation, blusher, and who know what, yuck.
beauty is in the mind not what is on the face.
Full makeup in this weather? Mascara and a little 'coverup' is all I can handle. Personally I find women who wear lots of makeup a bit of a turn off. For me subtle is best.

Well with a lot of work , a bad camera ,and neat lighting anything is poss babe , but your posterior is un-fakeable and absoutly stunning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow look out J lo....
Personally, I never leave the house without make up, not even to pop down to Tescos...and on the rare occasions I visit Waitrose....well nothing less than full make up and bestest clothes biggrin Having said that I've never pulled in a supermarket so it could be a waste of time.
However, someone once told me that the secret to great make up is to make it look like you're not wearing any.....hence I spend hours in front of the mirror slapping on loads of the stuff and all the time trying to make it look like I haven't got any on! Eesh...that's probably a giant waste of time too....!
