My Mum and Dad have been married for 25 years this weekend and I know its silver, but I have no idea what to get them. What do you get a couple that have every thing?
Any ideas please help xxx
A hug and a kiss goes down a treat and means so much more than any gift that can be bought but you could try
It depends a lot on what they are like -- if they are adventurous perhaps they would go for a hot air balloon ride ?? -- or if they are gardeners you just about have time to get a rose named after them, and posted to them. Give us a few clues lol
I am throwing them a bbq on saturday with a big cake with 25 on it just not sure if its enough. rolleyes
I reckon it is Donna.
You could add to it by taking some nice family snaps of the day and picking a nice one and get it framed?
25 years how cool is that! Good on them
Ye its great I'm defo one on the lucky ones out there, so many people I know are from a broken family.
I so proud my parents have been in love for so long 'devorice' is a every day thing now I really do think that so many people get married now before they even know what there doing and its more of a lust thing then a love thing.

my parents were married for 28 years before my mum passed on. but those 28 years were the happiest they had both ever had. i was the envy of all my friends because my mum and dad had such a happy marriage. (most of my friends were from broken homes) we threw them a big silver wedding anniversary party to celebrate and show them how much everyone loved them. my mum and dad said it was a perfect way to celebrate surrounded by friends and family who all wished them well. my dad who recently passed away said it had been one of his best memories of his marriage that he could of wished for. so congrats to your parents and take my word for it, it will be a lasting happy memory for them both and if they have family arround them even more so. material things fade over time but memories live on forever
 and lots and lots of

A happy story but also tinged with sadness as they have both passed am glad you have those memories.
My parents were married for 49 years before my Mum passed away and they still held hands when they went out, right up to the end. Even though it has been 9 years I still think of her every day, and would give a million pounds for one more hug.
i needed advice about a pressy early in the year a scrapbook of his life was suggested (it was my dads 50th) you could maybe go along the same lines from the day they were married until the present day, my dad loved it and it had loads of memories for him and lots of nice pictures and things, it doesnt cost alot but it shows alot of thought and something they can keep for ever to
I agree with fanny a scrapebook.
You could get each family member to write a bit and stick in the book.
Photos and other stuff relating to their life
Good luck
how about a year subscription to SH? lol
I am sure that will be a surprise :giggle:
that was a joke cool
why dont you collect old family photos? from when they were little, school, with their families, wedding, time you were born, while you were growing up.. till to date?
Put them all in a nice album, wrap it, dont forget to include a cd with a all time music from those times as well... a bottle of wine, and i can assure you that they will love it... :thrilled:
Congrats to your mum and dad, wow, 25 yrs together...
