just passed to me and this would be no suprise as to the decline of dogging in the UK. as the car magazine for twokers and bot racers MAX POWER did and expose on dogging on three seperate nights and now the carparks of this land are to be invaded but numpties that cant pull the wrapper off a toffee to try it on with us the genuine swingers of the world.
can i just say that not all "boy racers" are badf although i know alot of um are arses......me and colin used to drive around all the time when we had our cossie .............. so boy racers just love cars like me and col....................i feel it a shame that the arseholes are spoiling it for the rest and giving us a bad name

Bloody max power
the chavs bible more like it
What constitutes a boy racer??? Is there an age range?
My definition for an Essex boy racers, would have to be 16 to 22 year olds, wearing the obligatory baseball cap and driving nothing more than an XR2/3 or equivalent?? Thankfully I'd never followed the typical norms of youths society.
I've never liked football only Rugby and never been interested in cars only bikes. Also never really did the clubbing thing... Never hung around on corners drinking "K" or "Diamond White" with friends... So pretty much missed my youth thinking back... Never mind I'm sure I'll have a mid-life crisis and make up for it then?
i know that some peeps love diving there cars and having great sex in them too but threre are a great majority out there that are 17-25 and older that are going to gate crash our fun and it is just typical of a mag like that to do it and ecourage the behaviour of these idots. most of whom dont hold a licence.
from hanging about with them they arnt all young there was us colins 26 we had a cossie, and there were mitsibishi evo's there(i dont think kids could drive them) and basically we used to all meet up have the crack talk about cars and yeah ok we did used to race................................ but i never saw anybody with a baseball cap on lol

Lou,
Sounds like you'd love the Southend-on-Sea circuit then? Not that theres much racing to be done along the sea front... The A127 seems to be the place for that.. (Always seems to be some kid racing and killing themsleves along that road)
you need to go to southend on cruise night 1000ss of boy racers types
typical specification
g,h, or j reg
fiesta , nova , 106
speakers worth more than car going ...boom boom boom
dodgy dress sense
burberry and baseball caps
nice tarty young essex birds staring at the cars sprinting up and down the front between the speed camaras

SXBOY, has got Southend down to a T..... But you've forgotten that every now and again you get the bikers there in force...
Nothing worse than seeing the 40 year old man with his Corvette chatting to the teeny bobbers though. Always makes me laugh that people can be so shallow.
yeh but with respect babes they just enjoy their cars and like talking about them......................its like my brother has spent 10,000 on a 26yr old mini.................................why i hear you ask................................. because he loves his car!!!! i know i know but it is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im 41 and still a boy racer at heart redface
guess Im seriously sad according to this surprisedops:
oh well sod it Im off for a burn cool
I dont think your sad at 41 and enjoy racing.. My uncle in his late 30's and owns his own motor company.. Doing modifications and repairs for celebs cars or any high value machine. Now he races his Porsche Boxster and some expensive Merc (I really dont know much about cars). I dont think he's sad its always been his passion, but then he was racing a Jaguar as his first car 20 odd years ago as well.
I was typically saying that the average boy racer doesn't have a nice car... The Cars arnt generally anything special? as I said mostly just a Fiesta Si / XR2 and bog standard family cars with added mods..
Now if your talking a kitted out Merc, BMW, Porsche then that's completely different...
Whichs brings me back to my question... What constitutes a boy racer?
i once turned up at a local dogging site in my car of the time, and was promptly accused of being a boy racer and was snubbed, although my car was totally bog standard.....yes, it was a skyline gts, but i do have a passion for sports saloons/gt cars. so i was judged on what i was driving...i was 36 at the time...and although boy racer at heart...and yes i should know better, but all my boy racoing is done on track days....did not warrent that sort of pre-judgemental behavior.
now if i was one of the blue nova chav tw@s, then yes, i could possibly understand that, but i'm respectfull, and restrained, i didnt rev my engine, i dont have a loud stereo...
to be honest...this should be in the bitchin thread.....
I'm definitely with teppic on this one,,there is a place for racing,it's the race track,be it driving round in circles looking for the finish line or heading straight to it like proper racers, the track is the place for it,,admitedly I ride like a tw@t me(says so on my t-shirt..but if some eejit in a pimped up corsa wants to play silly buggers the they can count me out,the roads are a dangerous enough place as it is,and if they want to come and cause trouble, wherever it is,be it dogging, down the pub even at mcdinglers, bring it on littl boys

u dont have to have a flash car o be a boy racer
dreamers in dima's
berks in merc's
its all about having a passion for cars, the reason they have fezzies and suff is because they carnt get insured on more powerfull cars

in the good old days ,,before speed cameras and plod technology
we used to race from the fortune of war pub on A127 sadly gone ( basildon )
down to southend i had a yellow mark 1 escort with 2 litre engine
roll cage ,minilites,KC daylighters ,and big bore exhaust
the 80s were great
if they loved their motors enough they would find a way to insure them,I ride a turbocharged fuel injected bike with over 200bhp at the wheel,my insurance is well over a grand a year, third party only,,if I stuff it I've lost it,but I do it cos I love it,you obviously understand this concept,,but a lot of these shopping rocket drivers don't smile

our cossie was 275bhp and used to cost us £257 per month to insure!!!!!!!!!
exactly smile
my diesel !!!! PASSAT
has 150bhp and 0-60 in9.6 and is £ 470 per year to insure
i must admit one thing that really ranks me off are these

do you lot realise how depressed your making me
I suppose I'm lucky really, when I was younger it used to cost me more than the purchase cost of the bike to insure them,,20 years of riding experience certainly helps keep the premiums down smile
cosworths were built properly including testing and design at Dunton research and engineering plant in essex ,also proerly sorted suspension
therefore no poor mans cock spoiler required ala nova 1.3
have to agree, thats why I fitted the cosworth turbo and actuator to my bike,,tried and tested, bulletproof biggrin
Here's me paying £360 a year fully comp for a mid-engined sport car lol
I do make a distinction between people with a love for fast cars (like cossies) and the tea-tray and bucket-sized exhaust brigade who think a hundred-weight of filler and an airscoop that looks like darth vader has melted over the front of their car will make it go faster!
Z3D
What you got a garrett t3 turbo with the larger waste gate then ?
cosworths are beautiful machines................
