A lot of my earliest memories are somehow based around music.
I always seem to remember my mum and I in the back garden of our first house. The sun would be shining, she'd be pegging out the washing and I'd be sat eating a honey butty The radio was invariably on, playing the hits of the early 80s. That's why I always think fondly of songs like Living On The Ceiling by Blancmange, Too Shy by Kajagoogoo and Livin' It Up by Level 42.
Don't Look Back In Anger by Oasis reminds me of the Manchester bomb, Euro 96 and getting drunk on hideous cider and premium strength lager in the local park. What a time in history to be 15 years old - the summer of Britpop.
