Top Bird Mo was.
Better than Mrs T
yes, this morning. one of the few MP's i had any time for.
A sense of humour, common sense and a backbone. the best prime minister we never had
ohhh bless her thats sad
by the way you two are really doing my head in with the avatar lol
There's always the BBC news website which is updated every minute, it's usually the best way to find out about breaking stories. You need never be out of touch again!
Very sad news, she was one of the very few mp`s i had any respect for. I wonder if Blair`s gonna get of his arse to go to her funeral???

My thoughts exactly, and I've met a few current and former MPs (not her unfortunately). I wouldn't trust most of them to organise a bunk up in a swinger's club, let alone run the country.
I didnt know about this, that is upsetting.
I'm not a labour voter, but again, one of the few MP's of any party I had time for.
Top burd.
Put her feet up on the desk when tralking to the big-knobs.
Visited the prisoners in
Used to be a gopher for Rt Hon Tony Benn.
Was accused of shagging everyone from her Union days and her political days. She neither denied nor confirmed the allegations.
Made John Humphrys get lost for words.
A hero of mine.
Come the Revolution, Mo, come the Revolution.
A great loss for the political scene as a whole.
Maybe Mr Blair could check his holiday schedule to pay his just regards to one of the few political heavyweights of the modern era.

What You said!!
Not very political me but a great deal of RESPECT for the way she came across.
Rest In Peace Mo
she wasnt a typical politician, far too genuine and likeable. She cared about people, and wasnt a liar.......thats not what being an m.p is all about. She was more like a friend of the people.
i think its a safe bet she has gone up, not down.
Now there was a politician with balls !- not afraid to speak her mind but spoke from the heart.
She always came across as a "real" person - lets just hope she leaves a legacy for future politicians to follow
My father new her from her time at Northan Collage, and spoke very highly of her. She was a brilliant honest MP / member of the cabinet and will be missed by many people. Very sad news.
Everyone has a good thing to say about someone once they're gone and in Mo Mowlam's case they're very much true and deserved.
I'll tell you who I like, similar to Mo - Anne Widdacombe!
RIP Mo!
Mo was one of the best - a person with true integrity and passion. Her commitment to peace and conflict resolution was second to none - there are not a lot of politicians who can do what she did or achieved. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a lot who would wish to learn from her. On me sopabox I know, but ....... we need more like her in this country, so it's a sad loss. Met her once - was very impressed. RIP Mo.
Can youu imagine having been in the same room as Mo, Anne Widicombe (heard her speak HC and your're right-she's good) Betty Boothroyd, Maggie T, Edwina Curry and Claire Short!
.....
light blue touch paper and stand well back!
(Betty used to be an aid to JFK!)
Sorry to hear weve lost such a great Character
very Ballsy Lady I had a lot of time for her
shes gonna be missed
