mrs dpg's pregnancy (cant think of another title) ????

hi everyone not posted for a couple of days as we have had some unexpected news.
you may or may not know that mrs dpg is preganant and has got only a couple of weeks to go. friday we went shopping and she started to bleed (not heavy) but enough to go to the hospital when the midwife did an examination wasnt happy with the way the baby was lying next thing a consultant came in an examined her and sent her for an ultrasound scan.
everything is ok with baby the problem is where the baby is, she is on top of the placenta which is termed placenta previa which is apparently very dangerous in later pregnancy they admitted her there and then and told her she cant go anywhere until the baby either turns or she goes into labour if she goes into labour before then it will have to be delivered by c section they have given her some excercises to help baby move so fingers crossed that they work.
wish she was at home as the house is very quiet without her even with 4 girls running around :sad: :sad:
just thought i,d let you all know as we have made some good friends on here and didnt want you to just think we had dissapeared. smile

Our first was delivered by cs due to complications, on the plus side its a very stress free delivery for the baby and very safe. If Mrs Dpg is in hospital I'm sure its the best place for her, try not to get to stressed and be there for her when she needs you.

I know what you are on about as me and Mrs Tweeky are semi experts on pregnancy and related subjects due to past medical experiences which I wont go into :) Have they offernd to try and push the baby round yet? swear I remember a medical type person saying they would do that if the baby didnt move when Mrs Tweeky was pregnant.
Dont think I ever spoke of it before on here but we do I have a little girl who will be 2 in May. 5 Kids are you nuts confused

She's in the best place for them to keep a close eye on her. Keep us informed on how she is hunni and I'm sure everyone here wishes you both all the very best :rose:

Ring,
both of my "little angels" were delivered by c-section and I was there for both births and even after 4 I'm sure that once again the whole world will just stop as you look at the little pink, wriggly person for the first t ime. I know I have never felt anything like it. MrsDPG is in the best place, rest and TLC go a long way and I'm sure all of our thoughts are with you and can't wait for the She/he's here!! post.

just a quick visit folks and an update.
both mrs dpg and bump are fine still no movement though thanks a lot for all the well wishes and yes i know she is in the best place giving the circumstances, didnt realise just how serious this is until i spoke to the consultant today.
just shows how much we take for granted in life wink

Hope everything goes ok with Mrs dpg & the baby. I was in labour 13 hours before they found out our daughter was breach-hence an emergancy c as she was struggling. 10 yrs later she's my world!

People have said it before and you know it also, but she's def in the right place. It is serious but they wont let anything go wrong - so no worrying cool

I had emergency c/s with my first, problematic but normal delivery with the second and am now expecting again in Oct - I'm shitting myself due to these various problems so I'll def be in the 'best place' when my time comes too confused

'Normal' pregnancy is worrying enough, but Mrs dgp is in the best place biggrin

It won't be long before there are sleepless nights and nappies and bottles and all the joy that comes with a new baby :D (you mad bastards ;) )

not long back from the hossy mrs dpg is well and really bored and pissed off she missed dee this morn in jo's place the bump still hasnt moved so for the time being she has to stay put she's doing her excercises like a woman possessed.

baby has started to turn/move not a lot mind to warrant her coming home but hopefully fingers and toes crossed baby will keep moving and mrs dpg can spend the last few weeks at home

a bit more movement yahaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy was told by doc yesterday if it keeps up mrs dpg could be home by sunday/monday.
she has now been in for a week today and is really desperate to get out now, the kids want her home as well cos my cooking is "terrible" they said and if i hear "well mum dont do it like that" one more bloody time i'll scream mad

there are certain behind the scenes things that mum's do with the kids that when something like this crops up dad's just aint got a fookin clue confused

you wouldn't believe the things they have got upto this week with it being half term so with a bit of luck she will be home soon and pull the little s..... (soldiers) back in line :roll: they would be running round for her in no time cups of tea ect ect ect (bless em they are good kids really)
so hopefully she will (fingers crossed) be home soon wink
