As a parent its reassuring to know that the kids feel the same way as us older ones. We miss each other loads but are proud that our kids have become the independant people we raised them to be.
To every one reading this no matter what has happened in the past or how bad you thought it was you only have one mum and dad, in life you only have a short time to make things good again, The love that a Mum and Dad have for you can never be truly apreciated until it is to late, And from then on you will spend the rest of your life wishing you had made up and put things to rest,i'm lucky at 49 years i still have both mum and dad, no i cant live with them but i love them so dearly i tell them every time i see them you never know when will be the last time, so go and make up and tell them how much you love them for all there faults.

I was 19 and just about to move in with my best friend, she didnt like my new boyfriend so i moved in with him instead, i cried for the first week as missed mum and dad and they only lived other side of town. Anyway after moving in, 2 months later we were married. That was nearlly 10 years ago and i still miss my parents. They are on holiday for 2 weeks and i miss them as much as my kids!

I admire everyone who had such wonderful love from their parents. unfortunately some of us didn't and that needs to be respected. However, all of those got the nurturing and love from Mum and/or dad don't forget to tell them everyday how much you love them
Cheers
