what a fantastic fantasy satin. i only wished i'd thought of it.
How about contacting Ann Summers and campaigning for men only parties, I'm sure Satin wouldn't mind strutting her stuff for the boys wink
As an aside, how come AS employed a male member of staff in their Metro Centre store if it's supposed to be women only?

They do the same kind of party, similar stuff although often cheaper than AS. they don't seem to have any policy on who goes either biggrin
I'm pretty sure that whoever did organise the party would make a fortune, people around here seem to like adult novelties. funny that... lol
I've shopped with them a lot and they are very reliable so I expect the parties can be pretty good too.

Call me a Grumpy Old Swinger (TM wildwilly 2005) if you like, but a site that professional should be able to correct grammatical errors before publishing.
That said, looks like fun wink

We think Ann Summers parties should be banned . Not just because of their blatant sexual discrimination policies , but as a fire hazard . That much nylon together in one place , the static electricity must be enough to cause an instant house blaze.

what a "shocking" idea, ban a British institution like Ann Summers, good lord whatever will they think of next .... banning fish&chips perhaps

Satin, you should write to AS making your point.....they were very quick to shout "Discrimination" last year when they took the Job Centre to court for refusing to advertise vacancies at their stores (and won!) so use their own PCness against them!!
I don't know of any other companies that run sex toy parties so AS has a monopoly, they should be the standard bearer for acceptance, esp now they have so many high street stores, not to mention other businesses that are more hardcore. If they let you in their stores, why not their parties? Perhaps you could offer to be their first TV hostess and prove the demand for it? wink
Ok....who wants the soapbox next? redface

Excellent idea Seren, I would certainly put my name to any petition to AS to open parties up to everyone. I bet a TV hostess would be incredibly popular!
mmmmmmmmm it would be rather cool hosting an AS party cool

Right, AS is party plan innit.
Tupperware is party plan.
Men are allowed to go to Tupperware parties.
Tupperware parties don't turn into orgies.
Or do they??????????????
*Bev runs off to arrange a Tupperware party*

oopps, still half asleep here, i shall read all the replys before i post in future!
Heh heh - late night at a tupperware party Leesh?
According to an interview Jacqueline Gold did a while back, 70% of AS customers are female (previously it was 90% male before AS became high street friendly). It would be a naive thought that the other 30% are men buying lingerie and toys just for their wives/girlfriends wink

hehe  nope, just a good old fashioned night out with the girlies cool
A genuine AS party is for women only. I once met a rep who took me thorugh a demo with well known friends. Howvere there is no way it works when men are about. Nothing gets sold.
I hate all that Brit double values, but its how AS works here.

I think the point is that AS should think about changing their policies. Have you proof that nothing gets sold when men are present? I would say that if AS held a couples party lots would get sold. I also think that using TV hostesses would open AS up to a wider audience. But what do I know, I think AS is an over-priced organisation who's range of products are easily rivalled by companies that offer more stuff at half the price. I never have, and will not attend any of their parties until they end their sex discrimination and drag their sorry asses into the 21st Century. So there cool .
AS have been around and become a 'family' name, so they have stuck with their system. We know there are superior products out there.
My experience was only once and negligible. I can only go by what I was told. Particularly in the UK mixed parties are not promoted as the company policy does not want it. Corporate policies etc.
I once sold perfumes and had a drag act to help sell the products. This was quite successful. The customers were 90% women and the entertainment really helped. But drag acts are fairly safe.
Maybe things have relaxed since AS have established some shops on the streets. So good to be updated on their new approach.
