Hi everyone,
I suppose this might be a really stoopid question to ask, but curiosty has got the better of me. rolleyes
Why have you chosen the forum names that you have, OK OK OK I know some of them are really obvious......d'oh, banghead but some of the more unusual ones, just what do they mean/stand for? dunno
For Example tonmar
My name is MARk and my partner's name is TONy..........hence the tonmar.
Ok I'll go now, cause this is a really sad question........... bolt

Well my favorite colour is pink and I like bubbles.....................................there so floaty and pretty.....sighhhhhhhhhh.............remind me of fairy's and sparkles and glitter and.......................................eerrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, ok maybe not, I think I seriously need to get a life..............lol bolt

I started out with the chatroom name Misspelt, very nearly used it for here too, but decided on the same play of words thing and opted for Misschief .......... although I think I prefer Misspelt :undecided: but it could be that I'm just too used to this name now and doesn't seem very novel rolleyes
biggrin
Name and shame, I say, Mr Inleeds lol
My name ... I wanted something simple, easy to spell and remember and just that little bit different. Also, it's not a giant leap from my real name.
I believe it's origins lie somewhere in the Med .. not sure. I always imagine it being said in an Italian or Spanish accent .......... mmmmmmm!!!
BTW, it's pronounced Marry ya,not like Maria or even Mary A (note that please, bezzie mate who knew me before SH!!)
My forum name is derived from a word that appeared in a little known BBC radio series back in the late 70's. You will not have heard of it so little point mentioning it.

That was bugging the hell out of me. Most of my books (and all of my Pratchett books) are in boxes so I couldn't even check it out.
Zootle: it wasn't Marvin the paranoid android saying "Zootlewirdle" at the bottom of the shaft was it? Was just listening to HHGTTG today.
Polphero, an exotic wood from South America simular to rose wood mostly used as a veneer

I always thought that your name meant you were looking for a Scot (Celt I Seak You) until it was pointed out in a different thread.
Didn't know where to put my face redface surprisedops: But then I thought of somewhere
Looks like you succeded with the confusion thing lol
My Great Grandad used to fly B17's during WW2. The tradition was to give each plane a nickname, so he named his plane after their nicknames for each other - Kit and Kat. I can still remember them using them when I was a lad, the pictures all over the house, the stories they used to tell me in front of the fireplace. Everytime he got in the plane there was a small panel he would touch for luck, when the plane was de-commisioned, he got hold of that panel and fitted it by his front door, and every time he went out of the house, he touched it to make sure he would come home again.
or was it because I was eating my lunch when I registered, looked down, and there it was? confused

MrFC came on here before me and the FC at 1st was for FunCouple. He then realised that someone else had this nick name so he just sortened it when I wanted to start posting for myself..... cool 8-) So we became MrFC and MrsFC. wink

I got fed up of everyone knowing who I was in real life but then not knowing who I was on here so I changed it after the Ann Summers party at Angel Chat's house where the lovely ladies there decided that "little gem" was much more appropriate! lol Innocent librarian!???

I'm glad you've clued us up on that Pinkbubble.
For a while I thought it might be a reference to an exercise described by Shakti Gawain in her book "Creative Visualisation".
The exercise was called Pink Bubble Visualisation. :giggle:  :silly:
We've used this nick in chat rooms for about 4 years so carried it on in here.
Can't remember what it's significance is now though.
