Can we have a candy floss machine in the corner? And a Laser Display unit portraying the most explicitly pornographic, yet highly amusing pictures submitted by members?
And Cheese and biscuits around at half ten each night?
And and can we have a bathtub fully of Jelly for people to dive into and play vaguely erotic splurge wargames?
Like Anusol, on the whole I think it is ok... As others have said, Soapbox and Current Affairs could be merged... I'm confused into which one I'd put my observations of the ratification of the Beerschot Treaty involving the genetic manipulation of Sprouts and Onions into Sprunions, but I can live with that.
But most of all, will any of this get me a shag?
Too early to comment on the number of fora so far.
But one idea - is it possible for the originator to set a time-out period on a thread? For ones in the LMU like "Free this Saturday in Oldham". It may be a bit pointless it carrying on for days afterwards. An auto-lock of some kind would allow it to drop away from the first pages quite quickly - leaving room for more recent postings.
This would be most appropriate for personal meets of course - socials often have a post-social discussion.
don't like it... it's all too much, and doesn't feel inclusive.
though that is simply an impression formed from looking at the Index.
too thin

I think the idea of seperating the forums is a good idea and did a thread about this months ago.
Obviously there are some forums that could be merged into one another... but surely it is better to have this than people saying that a certain thread belongs in a different forum and then having to make more or move them.
On the subject of moving the threads themselves, is there going to be more of what has already been done... namely the moving of some threads into the new specific forum? there are obiously threads in the cafe that should be moved now.
I think that when this happens, peoples views on seperation could change.
It is certainly early days, and many changes have been accepted in the past which were initially met with concern - however - I feel it has resulted in the forum being too fragmented.
I feel we have lost the sense of cohesion we had when there were just 4 forums, and I am quite confused about where new threads should go.
I don't feel comfortable flicking between all the different forums, it makes me feel a bit nauseous, tbh.
I like it.
I know where I can stay out of. I know where I want to go.
Chatting with a friend on MSN, she (very rightly) mentioned the fact that the swinging forum is fifth on the list.
Shouldnt that be at the top, bearing in mind it is meant to be a swinging site?
oh, I think there is going to be some merging around here.
I have no problem with hundreds of categories and thousands of sub categories.
It all matters not a jot if:
The search and retrieval systems are not improved significantly.
The forums continue to be relatively inactive.
To address the first issue I suggest a member of the admin team pops into an established invision free board and makes a note of the search and retrieval facilities with a view to achieving a similar level of functionality.
To address the second issue I would suggest that forum posts are actively moderated with a view to ensuring the AUP and T&C are adhered to. If necessary these protocols should be refined.
