Am totally new to swinging and have arranged a meet with a guy in a few days. I'm very nervous and wondered if anybody could tell me if a previously banned menber could re-new his/her membership using a different pseodynom. Thus going on to re-abuse the system. I really hope the experiences gained on this site will be positive ones. confused

and :welcome: I would imagine its very easy for a banned member to renew their membership, using a different email address (they are so easy to pick up these days)
if they dont have pix on profile there is no way of anyone identifying them till they meet someone that they met before.

Hi Sylvanianfemale,
Not sure why you would want to know if someone had previously been banned from the site and what this would actually tell you. However, I can say that the reasons a person is banned is strictly private between the person and the site, so we wouldnt be able to tell you any information about any specific person.

I think I remember being told that it IS possible for admin to identify someone as a banned user, even if they are using brand new account details.
I understand the reasons why banning is a private matter between the banner and the bannee, but could someone tell me - if someone was violent, would he or she receive a permanent ban?
I suppose then you get into a whole other can of worms, similar to the reasons why naming and shaming isn't allowed (false accusations, etc).

I don't think it's an odd question at all.
As a single fem especially, personal safety has to be the paramount factor in any potential meet.
If you knew for a fact that anyone who'd been banned for serious offences couldn't be on here, that would lessen the worry to some extent.

Awweee Flower.... lets give people the benefit of doubt eh?? smile

We want people to join in the forum not frighten them away!! The poster could have had a bad experience elsewhere we dont know... :) :)
And to be honest, I was reading this forum for nearly a month before I joined as I was so wary at the time for a number of reasons.
And if, just if.....someone was being daft enough to draw attention to themselves, Mods etc would have sussed it by now??? :) :) :)

To get back to the post that Sylvainfemale made can I just say to the young lady that she takes every care with her safety when going to meet anyone.
Tell someone you can trust where you are going to meet and as much info about that person as you feel comfortable in sharing.
Make sure you arrange a meet in a very public place and only when you feel comfortable and at your suggestion only do you go anywhere else.
Don't want to scare you but most people on here do all those things and more too, in order to have a safe and pleasurable experience.

Flowers point was a pretty good one actually. A banned member could easily open another account using another IP addy and the mods wouldn't know. I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure there is a banned member who can still log on via another name...need to check it first.
