Hiya
Like thousands of others we've been chasing round for the'must have' games console for Xmas .
A website claims ample stock and delivery by the 10th Dec , + next day delivery .
Anyone bought one from this site ? , and yes i know it's a bit more than in the shops , but !............
i tend to go to the shop and buy things that way you get a reciept and can take it back if it goes wrong and exchange it or get a refund easily .
much harder and loads of agro trying that over the net with filling in forms and e-mailing ect .
go to the shops its easier
just wait...i'd avoid these kind of sites trying to cash in on the low stocks...£75 over its asking price plus another £20 postage...if its for the kids just ask them to wait, they should understand!
You would of thought the company that makes it would of stock piled for christmas!!!!!!!! as it seemed to be available in the summer or is this just the normal ploy of keep numbers down & the price up?
I'll stick to my ps3 thankyou .
Every year another shortage of the so called must have toy lol... Buzz lightyear, tamgotchi's etc etc etc. Its a ploy to make you want them even more.
People have them so they have to be available somewhere.. Put your name on a list in any retail shop they tell you it could be months but I bet you get a call within the week..
Just a ploy to overcharge you.. if you do your letting it happen lol.
Mike (IMHO) lol... xxxxx
As I find it difficult getting to the shops now I do absolutely all my shopping online. Because I have the time I can check all sites by googling the product (including ebay). I have always received what I ordered and if there has ever been a problem it was sorted out satisfactorily on line as well. You still have all the same rights as a personal shopper and if you don't want to sort problems out by email then there is always the phone. I received a full refund for a faulty bed for my son after having tried 2. Couldn't have been simpler so long as you know your rights under the consumer acts. The main ploy that retailers use is to refer you to the manufacturer if there is a fault. BUT your contract is with the retailer and not the manufacturer. They know it but sometimes need reminding of it.
If you want to email me the site I can let you know if I have used it ... or perhaps offer you another site that may help.
We've scoured East Anglia and everyone is out of stock with no idea on delivery .
It's not as if it was launched recently . How long have they been available 6 months ?
Will keep looking . xx
just to add again
we have a Wii and in all honestly its over-rated...the kids hardly play it...they prefer the xbox 360...its just gathering dust at the moment...don't be fooled in to believing that this is the in toy.
heard on the radio a little earlier, than a residence for our senior citizens has Wii now,and is being employed for fun activity and excercise....
... they are in the process of organising a *virtual bowls tornament*
How brill is that???
lp
we got our daughters wii in august for xmas they still had the good deals on then, everyone laughed at me for buying it so early but they not laughing now :smug:
Try somewhere not so obvious. Blockbuster, Staples etc
Keep your eyes on Amazon they seem to get them in and then release them in small batches, be prepared to log in to their site at strange times tho! I work for Parcel Force and delivered 2 the other day that people had ordered at 1 am. £181 delivered! Personally we never buy into the 'must have' mentality but as parents we realise the disappointment that kids suffer and peer pressure. Still three weeks to go, hang in there and don't pay silly prices for one I bet lots appear very soon.
