Seriously, some people have manners others don't, others I assume are so sexually dynamic that they have so many PM's they cannot possibly answer them all. I think single fellas get the thin end of the wedge simply due to their sheer number compared to ladies or couples. I wouldn't take it personally. Nobody talks to me and I am fecking fantastic, a great shag and humble and modest with it.

......and some folk get so many messages, that you would need a secratary to answer all.......I try, I try!!
I have a lot of experience when it comes to replying to volumes of emails on here. Ive had to do 200 so far for the ad I posted today. In order to swiftly deal with the no thank you's I have a standard message on my clip board. Having pressed reply I then press Ctrl and V at the same time click the send button and voila tis done.
In case it helps my current standard response is.
Thank you for replying to my advert for a bi/femme/male/couple. ( delete as appropriate)
Unfortunately I dont wish to progress this matter because you are:
Unable to read a profile or advert
Too Ugly
Too handsome/pretty
Too Professional
Too Common
Too fat
Too Thin
Unverified
Disabled
The wrong colour
(Please delete as appropriate)

Obviously this subject has been done many times before.
I know it seems rude not to reply, if somebody has taken the time to send a message. We sometimes reply and sometimes not. That does not mean we are rude.
If someone does not reply it is something you will have to get used too.

Sort of agree with Tankinky here - if it's patently obvious they haven't read or taken note of my profile, then I generally won't bother to reply unless I've nothing better to do. Otherwise I almost always will, even with a thanks but no thanks type message.
Just peeked at your profile, Mark-kent. This is normally the first thing I do if I get any mail that seems more than a mass-mailing. You might get more response if you included your status, a wee bit of profile text and a pic (even if not your face) - you may not think those things are important to you, and I don't know about others, but I find messages from completely blank profiles rather creepy.

If someone's written a thoughtful message I reply, but if it's just a generic message I don't bother.
For example, the last message I got said "We like the look of your profile, when are you free to meet?"
I didn't even bother replying to that, it irritated the hell out of me!
Having said that, I do sometimes read a message and mean to reply but don't get round to it for whatever reason. It's not maliciousness, just forgetfulness/busyness.

Id have to say if you are moaning about it already Mark, you may as well give up now mate. Poppys point about the generic messages is valid too, especially since many single fellas dont realise that couples receive soooooo many PMs that we can spot a cut and paste from a hundred yards away-even what the author thinks is an undetectable clever one.
