Older males

being a mature male myself I find myself excluded by many women as too old. Am I and other older men to be consigned to the sexual scrap heap in favour of younger men? Is it a vanity thing with ladies to hook up with a younger guy?

Peter i titally agree with you , on a few ocations i have poped a viagra ,after an hour on the bed they change their mind 

But its still hard (excuse the pun ) to get them to meet in the first place .

one word..  Bollox... I will be 65 in a just over a month and i have done ok I think.

I met my mrs here over 6 years ago, it's not about age it's about connections and obviously a lot of luck.

Chat and the ability to laugh at yourself is maybe the way to go, rather than most of the messages that are sent in chat,

I tend to agree with you Peter. Too many are too quick to write off older people. But to be honest, I used to be the same. But after trying older ladies, I now realise I was so wrong. 

OP People are here to find what they're looking for, whatever that may be, and that includes age.  Plenty of couples here aren't interested in younger guys but there are all sorts of reasons why someone might not want to meet you and age is just one factor.  Just because someone can perform at the age of 70 doesn't mean they're necessarily attractive to everyone so why not just accept their choices and not see it as some form of personal insult or worse still another of those '...isms'...

 I agree - we're new to this and chatting to people you'd be amazed how few meeting really happen - people are rightly choosy. But men who approach us (and I am the male half of us) tend to go like a bull in a china shop - it's not a cheap brothel but a place to connect with people who may or may not then meet

 Just a matter of preference Peter. You're certainly not over the hill unless we are too. When I was a younger woman I really liked older men and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Now I'm older myself I enjoying meeting younger, often much younger guys. It's not a vanity thing, though it does give my ego a boost,  but more about a younger mans performance and the turn on for him of having a more mature married woman which in turn makes it more exciting for me too. 

I think it's always going to be harder for older single men as there are just so many on here and so it's a bit of a numbers game. Don't give up though, I'm of the opinion that everyone is looking for something different and there is someone for everyone. Likewise, I'm very aware that there are lots of much younger and very attractive woman and couples on here and that not all men are looking for more mature women either.

 Well i hooked up with a much older guy 6 years ago on this site,and now happily married.

Dreams some time come true,but sitting back and saying "oh woe is me" is not the way to get results on here.

You need to work at it and be prepared to get loads of refusals and ignored messages and chat..

I guess that age is just another nail in the ⚰️ for guys on here but definitely not an exclusive reason for lack of meets. Body shape, beards, distance, social skills and most importantly, the interests of the ladies or couples that you are looking at......feel free to add to this list while waiting to hook up, lol!!

Age really is an irrelevance, so many oldies behave and look much younger. It is wonderful that you are attracted to older guys and I suspect that you will be in great demand by my age group, lol!!

At every age you will find women/couple who will prefer yougers or olders than you. This is about personal fantasy and mood of the moment. Don't take it personaly. 

I had and will have share pleasure will all sort of ages.

I have never had boundaries regarding a partners age but it is certainly comforting to know that there are still options out there with folk who have a similar outlook to myself, lol!!😜😜

Afineline, since you're north of the Border like me , remember the saying 'what's for you won't go by you ' , I try to keep that in my mind but sometimes aint easy to hold to it. Keep plugging away, maybe when I'm 80 I'll give it up as a bad

Here's a question that maybe Sub could answer. I know facial hair does turn a lot of gals off, but if kept trimmed and tidy is it really that much of an issue. I have contemplated shaving the lot off and edit my profile just to see what ( if any ) reaction there

 As the spokesperson for all women... I personally am not really bothered about facial hair - although I have to say that in terms of discreet meets, beard rash is a little hard to explain away! (Although thankfully easily hidden by facemasks in these times) 

This probably warrants being a whole separate thread so you can gather the opinions of more people.

 I would not worry about the beard rash, you would have more trouble explaining away the handcuff chafing and hand marks on your bottom😈😈

Last year For fun I had thought about making a mask that looked like they were made from Knickers but thought it might offend some people ...Especially if I found a quiet corner and started breathing in heavily with my eyes closed in a far away place....

yes, it would have been pretty funny as  a prank especially had I been able to film reactions and double takes., 

However, given that people were getting very poorly and dying, such flippancy was not appropriate...

....even by my extremely dodgy standards,,,,
