In my experience, children from other cultures, love the Christmas thing. I have seen Father Christmas nearly knocked off his feet by asian heritage children whilst non asian, christian children almost ignored him!!!!
In todays multi cultural society children need to learn that we are all different. One way they learn to accept and understand other faiths is to particpate in other religions celebrations
To deny this opportunity to children is to store up trouble and breed racial hatred for the future.
As far as I remember, the Fat Controller was always Sir Topham Hat, I still have the books somewhere.... Just that his nickname isn't referred to now. All this political correctness is a load of big dog's cock, I will never comply.
Rick!
This is all about equality for everyone...and I guess it is working...by the time they have finished we will not be able to do anything...and we will all be equally left with no fookin choices!!
I think they may have reinstated it on the marmalade and jam, not sure but I think I have seen it.
Quickly someone run to the supermarket to chek for the Golliwog.
Report back soon, otherwise we will send out sarge and his troop too search for you.
I very much doubt anyone has consulted any of these racial or religious communities as to their opinions on 'nativity plays' or whatever. No, all this PC bollox is thought up by white liberal academics and those 'trying' to prove how culturally sensitive they are. It's all self-congratulatory point scoring and a load of wank!
Here in Leicester the asian hindu community appreciate and enjoy the xmas season as much as anyone else. Nativity plays are a part of our cultural heritage and there is absoloutly no reason why these should offend anybody with different beliefs. In fact in Islamic tradition Jesus is recognised as a prophet, so therefore why would anyone from that tradition alone be offened by the birth of a religious leader who is revered in the Quran.
