Just hearing the news in general today made me think that one day we'll all be dead.
It happens all the time, all around us. Simple, commonplace... but worth thinking about sometimes. It's the last part of living and in many ways, I believe, should be welcomed as such.
Strange to think that some people are scared to greet death when she comes, yet they'll enter the realms of dreams willingly, and that realm is so much more terrible.
Are you perhaps someone who believe that in death the spirit gets its merciful release, unfettered by this mortal prison of flesh and bones, which is dying from the day that it's born?
Or.. do you think we just die and are all gobbled up by worms... and that's it. Curtains. No more. The End?
Provided this doesn't get locked it'd be interesting to see your views. Do you believe in an an afterlife, in reincarnation?
Mrs Tees is a Spiritualist Clairvoyant. There must be an afterlife or something because I'm sure that I'm the only one in our relationship that is guilty of talking to themselves.
Firstly, none of us will know until after death whether we're right or not. I think that whatever our belief is, it's what makes us feel better about our own and others' mortality. I have a fair few beliefs about dreams and what happens after death and a lot of them have come from the books I've read over the years. Basically the ideas I have (borrowed from others) are ideas that I like the sound of, so I've kind of adopted them as my own.
Staying on-topic and just talking about death etc., I do believe in re-incarnation. My idea is that our souls have been around for varying amounts of time, and each incarnation is for us to learn about a particular path.
One of the things I read has stuck with me that our souls (no HC, not r soles rolleyes) decide before they come back to this life what their (our) particular path of learning is going to be each time. So disabled people (according to this theory, and I happen to like it) have decided that they need to be really tested in this life, and their souls decided to have a particular disability and level thereof in order to learn more about themselves. These are the particularly strong souls because they know beforehand that their life this time will be difficult. (People who know anything about me will know that I mean no malice towards any disabled person here)
We could be learning about any number of different things in any given life. I'd hazard a guess that most of us here are this time learning about sex, emotions, love, but could also be learning about other things as well. I also believe that we all have a very definite purpose for being here (in this life, not on this forum lol)
One of the theories I've read is that we all have a set number of "get outs" as well. So those people you know or have read about that didn't catch that plane that crashed, or survived some horror or other weren't ready to move on just yet.
I could probably waffle on about this all night, but it's late so I'll leave it there. I'll watch this thread with interest though and may well come back and post more of my rambling thoughts smile
PS Ever wondered why I'm called Angel Chat? It's because I truly believe in Angels and the fact that my particular guardian angel looks after me very well :)
Just because I'm in the mood to chuck links about tonight, here's an appropriate one.
Oddly enough, Mrs Tees recently went to a seminar held by Mr Harrison ( he's 83 now and still doing the rounds, lecturing on psychic and spiritual phenomena.
