ive just been reading some threads on here and it struck me that possibly one of the biggest and yet understandably naieve mistakes people can make is assuming what they like all others must like too.....
"she has huge breasts i just know all the guys will love them."...............
maybe a poor example but let me give a break down of what the truth could be from potentially twenty guys watching that big breasted girl ............
4 think..... oh my god she is gorgeous
3....... tits wayyyyyy too big for my liking
4........ what tits i was looking at her arse
3 .......nice frock wish i had one like that
5 .......wish the guy next to me would come on to me and stop watching the girl.
1 ......fill in your own reaction here.
not quite as cut and dried as some may think ,however all too often i read on here the initial observation or ones like it, i suppose its all about how open minded you are, and this 'lets not assume we know what folks want'
if some of our less enlightened members threw out these assumptions im sure some of the dissapointing nights would be lessened for us all
god im rambling , keep an open mind in a nutshell learn quickly
WHAT FLOATS YOUR BOAT CAN EASILY SINK ANOTHERS
Staggy

Sorry.... I'll shut up.

Thank god we are all different and that is what makes the world go round. If every female liked George Clooney or Brad Pitt I would certainly be one lonely male.
G likes Sean Connery much better than Brad(t) Pitt and that is reassuring
My other half thinks Sean Connery, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are all sexy I am begining to wonder how far down the list I am or if I am on the list at all. What is really worrying is that she likes Science in BB.

Big Brother! Is that on? I never watch it - what crap!!!!
evil wink
Thank god, the most sensible post for a long time smile
I feel that there are some people on this site who have become complaicent, and believe they can post what they, acting like moral gaurdians, believing that there tastes relflect the whole. And then their freinds back them up, probabley not even stopping to think about wether they agree, are bothered or not evil
I feel like there is a hierachy on here that have already decieded who are there freinds and I feel that these "groups" are intimidating to others. Also these people seem to be challanged less on there post  Probs because it would make things uncomfortable at there next meet :!:
Things Like the bages and the purple posting line further act to make it seem like The Masons, rather than a Free to all forum sad How do people think it is percieved when they are opening threads to Let everyone know they have a Badge! na na na :!: :!:
So come on please try and be more open and inclusive of all biggrin :D :D

Firstly I have never seen anyone start a thread to let everyone know they have a badge. Perhaps you could post a link?
Secondly, badges are one of the ways we try to be "open and inclusive" by giving them to everyone who goes to a munch so they feel like part of the crowd. First timers often say it helps them settle in at social gatherings, so I don't know where you get the idea that there's anything cliquey about it. dunno
Sorry I dont agree, I am not after an agrument. But this is my point I have not just made up these things, They are MY feelings, yet you feel able to dismiss them out of hand. I can be open enough to accept that the badges are a help to newcomers, even though If they are at a munch then I dont think they need a pin badge to tell people they are Swingers. Wouldnt it be better to have a newbie badge, as from the comments I have read on here it is mainly established members who have the badges!
Any way like I say I can accept what you say, and perhaps you can maybe accept if not agree with my feelings smile :!:
It comes across as some people are a little defensive, which I can also understand!

I did nothing of the sort. I gave MY point of view, just as you gave yours, and I wouldn't mind a little credit for trying to be informative.

Fair enough mate, I think this is one of the other probs, it is hard to interpret the sentiment of posts. In this example I felt you were been sarcastic when asking for links to such threads. Where as this was not you intention!
so sorry but like I say it is somtimes hard to interpret the sentiment confused
As a rule i'm not a fan of big breasts - i prefer shape and texture lol.

Do you mean the SH pin badge or the badges people wear at munches with their names on?
The SH pin badges are available to anyone who meets the criteria for buying one - they aren't available to all, for reasons explained in the thread.
The badges people wear for munches have either been made by them (or for them by another person, Ice Pie as far as I know for lots of the munches). If any newbie wanted to be identified as such, I would imagine that they are free to make themselves a badge to that effect.
We don't NEED a pin badge to tell others that we are swingers, it was a suggestion made in order to perhaps avoid the uncertainty of whether someone at a munch or whatever, was actually a swinger or a member of the general public. I'm sure you agree it would be embarrassing for many people to walk up to someone at a munch venue, chat to them only to discover that they were not swingers!
It definitely isn't just the more established members who have munch badges.
With regard to the issue of someone starting a thread for badges, I haven't seen one - maybe you could post a link so that we can have a look?

Sorry, got to invoke Quirk's exception:
Intentional invocation of this so-called "Nazi Clause" is ineffectual.
As for us all being individuals it always remind me of Life of Brian:
Brian: You are all individuals!
Crowd: YES, YES, WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS!
Brian: You are all different!
Crowd: YES, WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT!
Lone Voice: I'm not!
Person next to him: SHH!
