I have fond (and some amusing) memories of Paris.
The Moulin Rouge is truly awesome and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone even though it is a bit pricey - you certainly get what you pay for and more in there!
I stayed in a small hotel off the main drag of L'Arc De Triomphe, a place called L'Hotel Belfast. sadly I can't remember the name of the actual street but I recall it ran parallel with La Rue Grande. All the rooms were pretty basic until we asked for 'Deluxe'. We were given the choice of a modern black and white room with mirrors everywhere or a stunning room decorated and fitted out with Louis XV furniture. As it was a romantic stay we opted for the Louis suite.
Owner was friendly and tried to be helpful even though he and his staff couldn't speak English (and why should they, we are in their city after?). Lovely lovely time.
