Who on here keeps them!? And updates them regularly.... i've just started up my own on my website (for the people that know it... just put online 1900 photos.. oh yea baby!)
Currently have approx 3 readers :-) and submitting the modified source code back into the OSS pool smile

More or less.
There was probably more of a difference when I first started my LJ at the beginning of 2002, LJ essentially worked like a 'gated community' due to it's easy access control coupled with a very large userbase. With things like OpenID that's become much less relevant.

Ooooh! I was a Blogger for years... it's still live but hasn't been updated in bloody ages... far too insular. But it was fun while it lasted and taught me a lot about web design stuff. Even had my own dotcom running as a blog for a couple of years.
For those unsure about blogging, it's almost as addictive as this. Googgle the word "blog" if you are unsure rotflmao

Jeez- that's what I do too! It helps me to stop sounding off too quick with people. I sort of go back and read the entries and then tell meself not to be so flucking stupid!! lol

I'm finding that blogging is a great way to surf the net and find all sorts of stuff and is an evolving internet phenomenon. It started out as people logging links to things they found elsewhere on the net, hence 'weblog', but has devloped into a whole other thing. First we had email, chatrooms and forums, then messenger type services, now it's blogs. It's become a new way of interacting with other people and gaining insight into others lives or their interests. It's also become a powerful tool in the business world for companies to promote their interests in new ways. There are around 100 million blogs in existence at the moment and thousands of new blogs are created every day! That's a lot of stuff!

i think its a great way to be experssive... i think the study was .. that 15-25% of girls aged 13-16 have a blog...
exactly.... why write on in a paper diary when you can have something that you can look back on in years to come and think... what a twit.... or.... wait till tomorrow.. and have someone else tell you

waaaaaaayyy back, 3 or 4 years ago, I think it was during my a levels, I kept a public journal as part of the "sex journal" I was supposed to be keeping for my "compulsive sexual behaviour" therapy as I wanted to talk to ppl about it. Not done that properly since tho I've made abortive attempts at it. Only maintained it for a few months tho.

Wow... so you were having pretty much top level psychatric help then (in preston its called the avondale unit.... or cognitive therapy).. whereby you keep a log of your behaviour so that you can better understand it....
yea... diaries are gr8.. you just have to stick to it...
hmm i wonder about an SH blog ring.. yea.!?

I guess. I stopped a couple of years ago, I was having therapy etc for about three years between 16 and 19 but saw no "improvement" - that is I got "worse", more promiscuous etc.
It was an interesting mechanism for reflection, but the "treatment" and it's underlying premises were, in my opinion, and in my case, fundamentaly flawed.

So essentially a Blog is an easy way to do a website - places like let you do it for free and it takes about 5 seconds to set up. You can put pics on there, write text/diary entries and it organises it all for you. I think it sounds great!
How many people would be up for trying them? We are thinking of starting one of mrs naughty being very neaughty...
