What do you think of the silly rule's on photo's, as we have been full member's on the site, and did have pic's of us with friend's, but now all of a suden they have been removed, to us it seem's a bit prudish or as Mary Whitehouse become a member of the site, after all were all adult's on here as far as I'm a were. And before anyone ask's yes we have the permistion of the people in the pic's to put them on the site, if the owener's of the site are going to continue with this silly rule we will defenatly not be renewing how membership, as why pay and be treated like little children. GAZKEZ.

its been a rule for as long as i can remember,posting pics of third parties is clearly stated in the AUP which i gather you read when you first joined,wether you have permission or not and considering you joined in 2005,you've only paid for the extra's package,so if you want to sulk and leave that is your call,but it will also be you loss!
The rules are there to protect people. Maybe the third parties in your pictures really don't mind, but I applaud the moderators for erring on the side of caution. If you don't like the rule, as you clearly do not, you need not have joined in the first place. They didn't hide it in the small print, after all.

there are other sites which may allow you to post your pics of third partie, we are not one of them - nor do we allow shagging avatars.

I know you must feel frustrated about it but these are the reasons behind this rule.1. On occasions people do contact us and say that they have not given consent to be in a picture that has appeared on the site etc etc.
2. Sometimes (cant comment on your pics) some poses closely include others in the shot. Maybe an arm round the shoulder of a friend etc. There is no way to know what person is the member?.
On the plus side you know that all the pictures you look at on the site are of the members.

Gaz, as said by the Bods, rules are there to protect ALL the members and that includes you! Like it or not, there has to be rules on a site the size of this one or it would be absolute bedlam ( as opposed to the organised chaos we have at the mo :giggle: )

Erm, Mary Whitehouse died in 2001, and anyway, she wouldn't have anything to do if she joined SH, as we're all clean and pure already.

Hi thank's for the reply's, but our point is that, the pic's I'm on about have be on since we joined the site, and it was not untill Saturday 3rd when we up loaded some new one's that, this happened. Martin_M this one is for you. Why if your Administrator don't your lot answer what I ask? there are pic's on other profiles that clearly show a three people not just a arm and they have not been removed!!!.
On a personal note Martin_M I don't scare easy in fact not at all ex Army and got the medal's as well.

Perhaps another member reported them as showing a third party and they were removed then

WITCH THEY WERE !!!! all but 3 of them, and yes I have just receved a reply from surport team that state some one conplained about them, but not anyone in the pic's. And to answer a few I have been takeing orders most of my life, but don't like it when the rule change half way through the game,

The rules haven't changed at all. The rules are as they have always been. The difference is that someone complained about your picture(s)
Perhaps it would be a wise move to just accept the fact and move on from it instead of posting inflammatory comments on the forum?
I don't think that anyone was slagging the armed forces at all.
If you look closely it was in reference to your, apparant, justification that being in the army and having medals, somehow seemed to either make you immune from rules. Or bigger and badder than anyone else.
It is all really not worth losing your teddy over.
And as for your comment about the armed forces not employing morons... well, that is a story for another day.

The rules have never changed 'half way through the game'. They've always been there and EVERY member, including the Bods, have to abide by them. Don't take it as a personal attack on YOUR profile.
