Gee! I haven't seen that film in years. Loved their sketch where they stick Acupuncture needles in a guy and then start twanging them (with full plinky plonk sound effects) telling him thats how they make far eastern music.
Films to record? Anything by the wonderfully chaotic Will Hay.
the best things I saw last year were,
In the Loop,
Let the right one in
Where the wild things are
Milk and the wrestler were pretty good too
Into The Wild
Stigmata
The Freedom Writers

Some great films here. worship
As some on here know I am a bit of a film buff, however it's hard to recommend anything as you have not said what previous films you have liked. I would however recommend the following
Dead Man's Shoes - Directed by Shane Meadows
Jamon Jamon - Directed by Pedro Almodóvar
Ne le dis à personne - Directed by Guillaume Canet
Amelie -Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet
The Kite Runner - Directed by Marc Forster
These are just a few of the more recent gems. Personally I love B/W British movies of the 30's - 50's. However its a bit of a niche market so I have not included any.
