regular meets or one-offs ???

after having really interesting conversations last night about loads of diiferent topics... just something that i would like your views on..... both for guys points on views and the ladies.....
what do you prefer? regular meetings with the people you know or just the one off meets and the thrill of a different person every time.....
if the question has been asked before then you'll have to accept my apologies...

I definately prefer one-offs. Anonymous sex, whether it be in clubs or dogging gives me a buzz that playing with someone I know cannot give. Even when I met men for one-offs off the Net when I advertised as a single fem, it was very rare that a man got invited for seconds. Having said that, occassionally I make friends with the men I've shagged. The guy I go clubbing with now, I met as a one-off several years ago. We kept in touch and he asked me if I would fancy a club. I said yes and the rest is history. We don't 121s with each other though as we don't go to clubs for that sort of thing :twisted: .
I'm not even keen on anonymous 121s now - I prefer anonymous groups of guys, or even better, watching an anonymous group of guys with each other - OK, call me an extremist rolleyes

However, since being on SH I've met lots of people at munches and have swung with some of them, so I guess I do swing with people I know too :wink:

I would prefer the regular meets with people I know (not that I get them) I do like to have people I can trust, so that is my choice.

Definitely regular meets, here - not interested in one-offs. Vix & I are in it as much for the friendship as the sex, and need to be comfortable with someone before we'll take them to bed. I sometimes wonder if we're a bit different from the norm in that we're looking for the swinging equivalent of a "long-term relationship".

not weird at all i think... i am exactly the same as you, but a lot of the couples i have talk to prefer the one-offs... which is why i thought i was weird.... biggrin

I'm definitely looking for a regular meet with someone special. I think this can lead to a more profound experience as it offers an opportunity to explore in more depth the totality of the other person(s) sexuality and humanity, as well as your own.
There is nothing unusal about wanting a 'swinging equivalent of a "long-term relationship"', although that may sound like a contradiction in terms. There has been some re-definition of the term 'Swinger' over recent years and I dare say this forum has played an important role in re-defining what it means to be a 'Swinger'.
Having said that I would not pass up the opportunity to have 'one off' sex with someone I found attractive. There is definitely something to be said for the sexual frissonof spontaneous sex or of a one night stand.

So far weve only really had regular meets with a couple who ended up as really good friends of ours,but havent had a succesful one off yet so i don't really know dunno

We've had both regular and one off's 'cos we're greedy like that :twisted:
However, we did find after a while that regular's became quite vanilla and there was no longer the excitement of wondering what would happen - it all became run of the mill after several months.
One off's on the other hand, are more inclined to make me nervous in an excited way, but it can lead to great things wink

I don't mind one-offs but it really has to be with someone that I know.....does that make sense?
I'd much prefer to shag someone that I know as a friend rather than some guy where there is nothing to talk about after the event.....

Personally depends what I am after, I like the thrill of a one off, but the joy of sharing that comes from knowing someone as well smile

The idea of anonymous one-off sex has its appeal if it's spontaneous, but I wouldn't go as far as to actually plan it. If I wasn't asked back, I'd feel used and discarded or that I'd done something wrong. For me, with a friend is definitely more appealing.

I might add that some off the 1 offs havent become 2 or more offs due to various different reasons,unavailability etc

I've had one off's and regular and have enjoyed both but it gets a bit tiresome after a while having one off's.....personally I like to know what someone likes and dislikes instead of feeling stupid when I've done something they obviously don't like! Sure you can talk about things beforehand but there is always something that doesn't get mentioned.
I think I'd also prefer the friendship factor...... not that I've had that yet but I'd like to think that there is someone out there who will be my "regular friend"!

Both are good - though I do like the stranger sex thing a lot. I have now got a couple of friends who were 'one-offs' but don't like to mix the sex and friendship thing too often and I really appreciate the friendships I've made.
So - a mixture of both really but the thrill is the stranger!!

Well it depends on whether it's the Sunday at the start of the week or the Sunday at the end of the week. And as for Wednesdays, I'm keeping those free for any spontaneous invitations that may just happen to crop up at very short notice. ;)
