My sentiments entirely except for the saying 'no' part and I wouldnt have a problem saying 'thanks but no thanks'.
I would like to think however, if a friendship had formed that we could remain friends.

As it happens i just yesterday received a "thank you for your comments, but on this occasion we will have to say no thank you" reply to a PM. all that really went through my mind was, how nice of them to reply.
I'm really not 'up my own arse' enough to get offended by a no thanks.

Ah Mike, totally agree with you here, there have been times I have wished so hard I could find some people sexually attractive, really liking them as people, but I just cannot swing with someone that doesn't do it for me (have tried believe me and it doesn't work for me).
As for rejection, we said no thanks to a cpl recently and they were delighted to receive a polite reply (even though it was a 'No thanks'), we even had a good old chat in the chat room about it afterwards and we shall continue to chat when we see them in chat again. Honesty and politeness.

I recently made an approach to a couple, and got told no thank you, no single men due to timewasters etc
It was a nice, polite reply, which pretty much finsihed with "thanks, but not this time"
I sent a reply to that thanking them for their reply, it really was nice to see the effort

I pretty much dont like rejection ( as I suppose most dont).
Then again I dont actively seek that often and ive been quite lucky with the people that ive met so far.
Although I could take it if it happened :shock: lol

( it hasnt happened yet)but only if it was a nice rejection, otherwise id be ready for :boxing: if they started calling me names and suchlike. ( let that be a warning :giggle: )
