ok - I often buy stuff from e-bay - mainly fetish wear and for the most part I've been very lucky and got some fab bargains.
about 6 months ago I bought a couple of leather corsets (brand new) that were great value and quality and best of all delivered mega quick.
Back in jan I bought another 3 from the same seller, different story this time though - 2 of them arrived last week (waited a month) and the communication from the seller as to why they took so long was not good at all, he kept giving different postal dates etc)
the last of the 3 bought back in jan (and paid for instantly via paypal) arrived today - along with 2 more corsets the same as the ones that arrived last week!!!!
Do I tell him that he sent an extra 2 by mistake or keep them and sell them on elsewhere?
I know what I SHOULD do but do feel a bit peeved that it's taken so long for them to arrive and the guy hasn't even apologised.

Please tell him. the delay may not have been his fault, could have been the post office or he may have been ill or anything.
With clothing lines in particular, ebay traders dontmake that much profit hence the costs are so low.
i would look at it as complimentary gift for the late arrival and sell them on if you wish
Keep them,providing he has already left you positive feedback for the ones you have paid for!If he realises what he's done you could end up with bad feedback for something that was his own fault!

I agree that you have to let the seller know you got more by mistake and ask him what he wants you to do. If you were dissatisfied with the service/communication, you can always leave negative feedback.
Hmmmm....is it pinch a penny lose a pound or is it a gift from the Gods?
Gifts from the Gods usually leave you feeling good about receiving them though.
I know I'd feel guilty if I kept them.

I find managing a number of sales at the same time on eBay quite hard. User names, email addresses and real names, then I'm shopping for Dad etc., all make tracking who's paying for what quite hard. The recently improved eBay software helps a little, but still when someone comes on the phone saying "I'm Mr Smith and I bought so-and-so" and you flash up My eBay and there's nothing remotely like Smith it can confuse.
I think you ought to tell them, but since they would have to do a third party collection from you with Parcel Force that'll cost them £8 or £9 they may just say keep them. You'll be doing your best being honest, they will have increased their goodwill with you. E-v-e-r-b-o-d-y 'appy.
Inform the seller... tell him what's happened and ask him to arrange for them to be collected... it was his mistake... The ball is in his court then for him/her to sort it out.

)as service has been very poor i would keep the items as compensation for the time you have had to think you could have needed this item for an importent event or meeting
