Sex and the City, for me, is all tied up with fabulous university memories... it was a weekly ritual of watching, laughing, drinking wine and being with my wonderful wonderful friends.
Intellectual content? Maybe not, but I get enough of that elsewhere. You may get all post-feminist on me, and decry the fashion-emphasis and falsely-aspirational lifestyle yadda, yadda... but what I thought was excellent was seeing female characters talking openly, candidly and often fairly crudely about sex on a prime time show.
My favourite moments and quotes?
Big: "Abso-fuckin-lutely" - I adore Big.
Samantha: “You men have no idea what we're dealing with down there. Teeth placement, and jaw stress, and suction, and gag reflex, and all the while bobbing up and down, moaning and trying to breathe through our noses. Easy? Honey, they don't call it a job for nothin'.”
I could seriously go on... and on!
Favourite moments? I honestly can't pick... I've just been typing stuff and deleting it and then re-typing.

I'm agonising over my best bits: I love Carrie being drunk at Vogue; when she gets robbed for her Manolos; when Samantha does the speech at the cancer fundraiser; the whole trauma of the up-the-butt taxi ride; the will-she-won't-she with Aiden. Oh and how could I forget the fashion show, when she falls over flat on her face?! The heartbreak when Charlotte loses her baby; naked Harry leaving teabags everywhere; Miranda and Steve - especially in the series where they are dealing with Steve's Mum; funky spunk; Smith Jarrod... oh and Big. Mr Big. *swoons*

Judging by the responses so far I'm guessing SATC was a girly thing? I didn't watch it, but did any other blokes (apart from BIoke ;-) )?
SATC. Dreadful. No honestly, for the 10 minutes I watched it was mind numbing tedium and has gifted me a pathological hatred for Sarah Jessica Parker. When she advertised her perfume "Beautiful" I thought she was being ironic.
Best funny sex bit... I did like the bit in Men Behaving Badly when Gary's chatting up a girl on his couch, first Chas N Dave's "Rabbit" comes on the stereo instead of smoochy tunes and then his chat up line of "Your lips are like... Liver" was quite beautifully painful.
