I was always a bit wary of this for two reasons. 1. I know the dmage I can do to my face so I didn't want a razor anywhere near the crown jewels :shock: 2. I am quite furry and thought it would look a bit daft if I had hair everywhere EXCEPT there (and my head 
)
However, I have found the following work very well:
I shave my shaft and the area immediately above the penis (discovered the benefits of this when preparing for a Flintstones fancy dress party and realised that the revealing costume needed some treatment in the pubic hair department!)
I keep the scrotum trimmed (as opposed to shaved) with a pair of nail scissors.
Shaving the shaft is easy in the shower and the smooth straight shape of it means that there are no nicks. Trimming the balls and the rest of the area with scissors avoids the risk of cuts and also prevents any itchiness associated with newly growing hairs.

I would recommend an electric shaver if you want to avoid nicks, as long as it's a decent one. I've never let a razor near mine and I shave for special occasions or every now and then when I feel like it. Use the trimming attachment/scissors to take it down short then run the shaver over it all, stretching each bit as you go so the skin is smooth not wrinkled.
I remember another thread discussing the subject a while ago, talking about the relative benefits/not of doing it straight after/in the shower/bath. Definitely worth it.
Yes, it can itch a bit while it's growing back if you let it, but good choice of suitably shaped underwear i.e. not boxers - something that provides a layer between your c&b and your thighs/where it rubs on, say a pouch/thong/tanga brief - and moisturiser/other creams applied appropriately minimise that so it's not a problem.
I love the feel and I can't wait for someone else to either. Oh, and a term used (not mentioned yet) for the balls-sucking thing is teabagging.

Ive been shaving for about 8 years now feels so clean fresh n sexy and the ladies love it honestly.
A good shaving gel i use is "Original Source " Mint and tea tree oil " the mint makes ur balls tingle and the tea tree oil stops getting a shaving rash !
And lilacgem if you want a guinea pig to practice on ? just give me a call ?

I'm completely smooth and hairless and it hardly grows anymore as a result of using a ladies product called "Hair no More", which includes a growth inhibiter. What does grow back is soft and fluffy, and the smooth time doubles with every treatment, until eventually "Hair no More". And no I'm not an agent for them just a very satisfied customer. When you're addicted to wearing silk and satin it's a bonus to be a smoothy. :P :P

That original source gel is lethal, it tingles just a little too much on the sensitive areas for my liking (obviously I don't have balls though!).......and tea tree oil doesn't taste good so rinse it off thoroughly or the you might find the teabagging will be left to stew

I shave mine and once you feel comfortable with a razor blade on your 13A11S all is fine.
It was the first time was the hard part, but you gotta keep on top of it.

May I recommend electric tweezers.........£20 from all good cosmetic retailers. Takes longer than shaving, doesn't hurt like waxin and the smooooothness lasts for weeks. No more stubble.. 
Even fun if u got a friend to help u with it.

Tell it like it is I say :twisted: Balls are actually quite resistant to shaving, never managed to nick them. However bloody awkward, but the effect is worth it. I always end up missing 1 or 2 hairs that need attacking the next day.
As for the shaft, that is a good idea to avoid catching the hair in condoms which bloody hurts when you take it off!!!
As for shaving it all off Mrs TnH prefers some to make me look 'manly', just smooth where her tongue may go...
