Wayne Bridge is shaking?!
Where exactly is Wayne Bridge anyway?
It's all meaningless tittle tattle that isn't really worthy of news paper column inches.
Just my opinion you understand, please don't set the dogs on me!
i think they should both ignore each other and get on with their job which is playing football smile
always best to shake, would be awful to leave the toilet and then leak a little into your shorts... embarrassing!
I also (purely personal preference mind) like, when time, to have a little squeeze too, you know, a bit like you might imagine a 'milking action' on a fine udder to be. Just for safety's sake. and for sensation of course, but we wont go into that right now.
Sometimes a little restraint may be required, I wouldn't want to get carried away with the moment.
so yes, shake at least, carefully... then remember to wash hands.
Hygiene, doncha know.
lp
It would be nice to see the kit men have a sense of humour and send them both out in shirts with "Bull" & "Cuck" on their backs lol
more than three shakes is time well spent!
lp
speaking of which:
Is it Football or Rugbay that offers oranges at half-time?
or am I completely confusing myself with auto-asphyxiation fantasy?
lp
No, you must be thinking of the plastic bag that the oranges come in! lol
So Bridge did not shake his hand and rightly so.
As a guy one thing that is unwritten is, you don't shag your mates wife or bird...unless your a swinger of course lol .
I support Chelsea but do not support Terry in any of this.
Good on Bridge for not shaking his hand, but I bet he would love to shake him by the neck.

Quite rightly so ?
If he can't be sportsman like and shake a players hand before a game then where will his childish behaviour end ?
A reckless tackle that ends a players career perhaps ?
IIRC wasn't the female in question actually Bridge's ex at the time of the affair ?
If so then what does it matter to Bridge dunno
He needs to grow up and get on with the game he gets paid a chuffin huge amount of dosh to participate in....
He's even pulles out of the National squad because of it rolleyes

Being a sportsman now is a joke....they dive they cheat, and most will break the rules to try and win. That is in any sport it seems now.
Imagine having your best mate shagging your bird, and then having to shake his hand...come on be realistic here.
Maybe he should go for a beer with him after the game as well then. Well they are sportsmen after all.
I think they should each be given a big fluffy cotton bud like what they have on gladioli's and fight it out on pay to watch tv. then both should be sacked. I hate this feeling or belief that our sport ability as a nation rests on one or two silly blokes heads. There are plenty of players out there just as good or even better, they just ain't had the lucky breaks.
As for shaking hands. Why should they? I know it would show some sort of understanding between the two but if its not genuine its just more bullshit to add to the bullshit already spewed forth' If they were to shake hands i think we'd need a Germy Kyle lie detector test to see if it was genuine or not. I dont want to see some facile pretense at amicability Its just bollox - Let them dislike each other and if affects their game so what move on next young player next young hopeful to rest the nations hopes on please come forward. Your country needs you!

As I stated in my previous post and you seem to have ignored......IIRC it wasn't even his partner at the time of the incident was it dunno

Steve, yeah what ever happend to the pride playing for your country was supposed to generate?I found it incredible that Bridge has pulled out of the England squad in a world cup year!

Shows their true professionalism, doesn't it.
The pair of them are big girls blouses and most undeserving of the honour of playing for their Country. Some of football's greatest must be spinning in their graves!
It should be a privilage to be selected to play for your country at your chosen sport....#
These days some seem to treat it as their right.....

To be honest I dont know what your friends are like but I know mine would not go shagging my ex partners very soon after I broke up with them. I wouldn't do it to theirs either. I would consider it something that didnt even have to be discussed just kind of general etiquette or protocol.
Back to the original question. I'll just answer as if it was me as thats the only way I can think of it. Yes, I would shake I think! I would consider it totally game related and not a symbol of anything else. Hard to say though you dont know what emotions Bridge has tied up in all of this.
Maybe they should kiss? Or maybe they should wera Carmen Miranda type hats and sing broaday musicals to the crowd. Nahhhhhhhh 'Ave it':boxing:
I think they should have a penalty shoot out.
Has there been any word from the 'woman' yet? It seems she has conveniently become invisible as far as this is concerned.
I'd be kinda grateful if they'd all just disappear. I think it's ridiculously inflated and we really don't need to hear any more about it. It's playground stuff. These grown(?) men get paid a fortune to play professional football, professional being the operative word. Keep your private life private, leave the childish "I'm not shaking his hand" rubbish at home and get on with the job that you get paid for. If he wants to cut off his nose to spite his face and not play in the world cup then hell mend him... let him get on with it.
Shit happens, get over it. In the grand old scheme of things nobody died, it's not the end of the world, people cheat, people have affairs, people shag their best friends' partners often. Just because they're in the media spotlight doesn't make it any worse than if you or I were to do it. It's always a shitty thing to do but they need to get over it because most people don't care.
There... rant over.

Rooney...Terry....Lampard....Gerrard....
They WILL play no matter what happens unless they get injured.
It is a right for these players as not to have them in the team just does not bear thinking about, so I would say they do think it is their right, and most supporters would agree.

But people do though, and that is the point you seem to be missing.
Bridge has said nothing whatsoever to the media. He has spoken to the England manager and has made a decision, he says based on his Son.
Bridge did not ask for this, he did not ask for the media hype and as much as I think Terry is one of the best Chelsea players we have ever had, I back Bridge 100%.
Can you show me where Bridge has said anything to anyone publicly?
I think not many guys would want to shake the hand of a so called mate, who has been found out to have sneaked behind your back, to shag your ex bird, the Mother of his child.
These guys are in the public eye big time, and people DO want to know about this, and the media are more than happy to oblige.
What the heck has Bridge done wrong here?

What utter tosh!! :giggle:
It's not their right. They have to earn that right. I'm not saying those you mentioned haven't earned that right but to play for your country should be treated as a privilege and not a right.
And I've not missed any point... I don't care who's fucking who or who's not shaking who's hand. It's none of my business, nor, unless I'm mistaken, is it any of yours. I don't care... like millions of other people. I don't need to read about someone else's dirty laundry in the newspapers... granted some people do and that's entirely their choice but who was fucking who has fuck all to do with football. I'm not interested in who's in the right or who's in the wrong... if I behaved like that at work I'd be fired. Simple. Leave your private life private and treat your professional life as it should be treated, a profession, and if you're good enough to play for your country then you should be proud but it's not a right as you put it, it should be an honour.
Supporters should be caring about their club and their player's professional lives, not their personal lives and when the two cannot be kept seperate then the individuals should take a good, hard, long look at themselves and decide whether they're in the right profession. The media have a lot to answer for and quite frankly they should be shot, as should the people who buy the rags!
That's my opinion. Your opinion is that I missed the point. You're very welcome to that opinion... it won't make me give any more of a toss about who didn't shake who's hand or who fucked who's ex girlfriend.

Yeh yeh we will all just ignore the fact that xxx shagged our xxxx and get on with it like grown ups. Sorry but life dont work like that.
As for the getting fired at work if you behaved like that, in what way do you mean? You would get fired for not shaking hands? or fired for shagging a colleagues wife? in either case I doubt it very much.

For someone who says they do not care....ya have an awful lot to say on the subject. lol
Ah the morals of swingers eh? wink
For me it's not really about morals... people will do what they will do, not for me to judge. I just like privacy and I think that something that happened in their private lives weeks/months ago should be left there for them to deal with. I don't get why its still going on so publicly. I have a whole lot more respect for people who don't feed the media frenzy.
