So what's your Honest opinion on Swinging Heaven?

It might just be me, But recently i've thought that there's been a little too much negative thread's round here, the same old stuff we've seen a billion time's like, single men don't get treated fair, no one swing's with us becos we are too young or i've had my ad up for 2 day's now and no single Bi-fem's have responded so this site dos'nt work and no one's ,etc
That kinda bullcrap, that i'm sure i'm not the only one sick of hearing. I flucking love this place, and kinda get offended when i see them kinda post's. It kinda make's me feel like someone is slagging off a real good , i know it's alway's gonna happen and theres nothing we can do to stop it.
Sorry I'm rambling a bit, i'll get back to why i've started this thread.
Why is it or what do you Love about this place?
I know i'm not the only one. so, come on people post what you love about this place?
Show them nervous,newbie lurker's what a great place S/H is.
i would love to hear everyone's great thought's on S/H,

I actually thought the mood had lifted a lot lately, not so many whingers and a steam room for random rants has really helped. I've certainly been inclined to post a bit more lately and a few missing faces have stopped in and whilst they may not be here permanently it's nice when old friends drop by, the rolls have all gone back to school and the balance seems to be favourable ...even the chtrooites have graced us with their presence a few times LOL
but that's just my opinion ...

When i first started using this site i just put a add up, then i found the chat room (about 6 months later ) and i have to admit got quite addicted to it, tho some of the single guys in there did need to learn a few manners, around the beginning of november i was asked to a party and the guy said "post your reply in the forum i have put a add in lets meet up"....the forum? :shock: what the hells that?? :lol2: so i joined the forum so i could post a reply to the party thread and history was made it was our first meet off this site, and was great cause we got to meet a house full of people off the site in one night since then i/we have been to countless house parties and munches, arranged to meet people at clubs on a number of occasions and had a few private meets, its been great, i personally like the forum better than the chat room but saying that i do still like to go in and chat to friends its worked well for us and i have come across very few time wasters off this site, mainly cause i only arrange to meet people i know from munches etc, they are in my opinion a great idea :thumbup:

I've only been a signed up mamber for a couple of days but in my mind there's so much information and what seems to be a genuine fun spirit around the place. Not been to any events yet and i'm still finding my feet but i'm cool with it... cool

It allows me to be myself in a way that work and vanilla RL doesn't.
That said, meeting and making friends with other members has enabled me to push my Eager Frontiers outwards and in fact live an increasing amount of my life as ES which is where I feel most comfortable biggrin

I've made some lovely friends through SH who live the length and breadth of the country. What more could I ask for? dunno

Like anything else in this life you'll only get out of something as much as you put into it. Life and Society do not owe any of us a living and anyone who comes on here expecting success to drop into their lap is naiive and pissing into the wind!
It's all been said so many times before that, yes, it does get tedious when a whinger appears but that's the way it is, and always will be.
Occasionally it gets a bit dull in the forum and repetetive but it always moves on. SH will still be here long after I'm gone I expect, and when that happens, I'll be looking forward to seeing some of you at the Final Munch in 9999

You're thread made me go and look it up again and reading through some of it it's made me realise that it's really important to accept the peaks and troughs (or should that be Highlights and Dross?? dunno

)
What I have noticed of late is that, and I think we can thank Vix's "Where are they now" post for it, a lot of the regulars who had taken to lurking are coming back to the fold and for me the site is getting more like the "party place" it used to be.
I still love this site, for it's friendships, variety and sometimes thought provoking posts

This is such a lively forum. I like the way you can post a topic, and within minutes someone has added to it. It can be anything, from sexual topics to computer problems. I guess it makes you realise that all in all people are good and there to help each other out.

For me, it's like being in a big brand new family with lots of new brothers, and older, and some younger,(well ok, a lot younger). Some closer,& some more distant,and some that are the black sheep. There are favourites of mine, and those that i just can't connect with, but like our own familes there is a vein of common interest that binds us all together. Our,' blood tie' is Swinging, and we all live at SH towers where Mark presides over the family elders,( Mods), and his brood. As in any family there are checks, and balances that are applied to all, by all, which serves to keep our collective feet on the ground.
I am glad to be an SH family member. biggrin

I also have to admit to starting with the ads section exclusively for about a year with varying degrees of success before finding the forum a couple of months ago.
I think its great - have found it very interesting reading about other peoples opinions and experiences anf there is one hell of a lot of information about.
Did find it hard to start with as thought all the regulars were permanently taking the piss but soon figured out it was just their sarcastic sense of humour - which i have now fully embraced.
Occasioanlly it is repetitive but the mods seem to very effictively stop that happening.
so all in all - bring it on!!

For us, one of the many great reason's why we love this place so much is, being accepted for who we are. Me and Little miss2h2h are not ashamed to admit that we are oddball's, weirdo's, outcast's from society but that did'nt matter here.
It only mattered if we we're nice people or not, If only RL was like that.

Well what can I say.......when I first started coming here I was a shy little thing with hardly any self-esteem and thought that nobody would care about me for who I am and would judge me solely on looks......
But as time went by I began to get more sociable and went to my first Munch (thank you Marcuso kiss

) and found that people just seemed to like me because I was me.....and that made me feel soooo much better about myself.
I have met some amazing people and found some incredible friends who I hope will be my friends for life.......this place means a whole lot to me and is basically my entire social life (yes I know that sounds really sad but after Munches/Socials and Shagathons I don't have time for much else).....
Mark and the Mods and everyone at SH....I salute you!!! kiss

I'm happy to admit that this place does my ego and self confidence so much good .. I have had body confidence issues before (and still occasionally) and there are some wonderful people here who by just sending a pm or making a comment can really boost others biggrin

Same here! Its the lovely, funny, sexy people on here who just make this site one of the nicest places to be. If Im feeling a little down, or not feeling very good about myself, there is always someone who notices, possible due to the tone of one of my posts, or because of something I may have said in pm, but you can always guarantee that before very long a nice pm will arrive and it always makes me feel so much better. The nice pm's you get saying nice things about something I've posted, the ever so funny 'fancy a shag' pm, or just a pm passing the time of day! It just makes me feel so bloody good!
I also feel a bit protective of the site and just hate it when anyone slags it off. Its not the site which is to blame, its the people using it, and I am so glad to say that this place has some fantastic people biggrin

I feel at home here! Does that sound strange? I feel as though I could post almost anything without being torn down, unless it completely stupid. Then it a bit of banter and fun. The humour that runs through the site is rife, and I love it.
And I ve met some lovely people here both by posting and face to face. I am irreperably hooked..... biggrin

Well to echo much of what has been said, I think SH is the dog's bollocks ;)
I used to spend more time in the chatroom than on the forum but I would now say when I am here it's about 50/50.
As others have said, I feel relaxed here, part of a community that is open-minded and liberal in a way most of the people I know IRL aren't. Pretty much anything can be discussed here and with so many friends from so many different walks of life there's always something to read/comment on/rant about :P
After a hard day at work/row with the partner/stress from the kids etc , it's nice to be able to escape from it all to the wacky world of SH Towers-there's always someone here to cheer you up biggrin

On a more personal note, something Calista said about body image struck a chord-I am not the lithe 18 yr old I once was (sigh) but that doesn't matter here, I am accepted for WHO I AM and that doesn't always happen IRL..
...so LONG LIVE SWINGINGHEAVEN and all who sail in her ;)
