God...I love music so much it's really hard to pin it down to one.
When I moved to Wolves, rock band "Stain'd" were pretty big and they had a tune out that completely summed up my fears of leaving the homeland and venturing away...
Later it was Nickelback "This is how you remind me of what I really am"
Last year Ian Brown "Keep what you got, by giving it all away.." (summed up my feelings at work really)
Couple of life-long tunes that have follwed me though - Boston and "More than a Feeling" and the one that was pinned to me at college: Iron Maiden and "Bring your daughter to the Slaughter"......dont know why that would've been
Sorry that's too many!

Our song-something changed by Pulp :inlove:
I have two songs that make me smile and remember certain points in my life.
1. Seasons in the sun by Terry Jacks ....... reminds me of been young and singing it to my great grandfather .i miss him so much
2. Hero by Enrique Iglesias............. Mike and my song always makes me realise how lucky I am to have Mike in my life as he is truly my hero.
oh and when i was pregnant with our youngest, this was very apt....
Look at the stars;
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do.
Yeah, they were all yellow.
I came along;
I wrote a song for you.
And all the things you do.
And it was called "Yellow".
So then I took my turn.
Oh what a thing to have done.
And it was all yellow.
Your skin,
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful.
D'you know?
You know I love you so.
You know I love you so.
I swam across;
I jumped across for you.
Oh what a thing to do.
'Cause you were all yellow.
I drew a line;
I drew a line for you.
Oh what a thing to do.
And it was all yellow.
And your skin,
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful.
D'you know?
For you I bleed myself dry.
For you I bleed myself dry.
It's true.
Look how they shine for you.
Look how they shine for you.
Look how they shine for…
Look how they shine for you.
Look how they shine for you.
Look how they shine.
Look at the stars; Look how they shine for you, And all the things that you do

Betch By Golly Wow..........The Sylistics
means a lot to me
It changes often but at the moment it's Mr Brightside by The Killers.
After I split with my girlfriend and she started seeing someone else I often thought her seeing another guy would excite me, as I'd often fantasised about sharing her with another man, but the reality is it felt is more like a nervous/nauseous excitement mixed with a mild jealousy, that I'm sure some of you feel like sometimes when you watch your partner with someone:
I'm coming out of my cage
And I’ve been doing just fine
Gotta gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all
It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
Now I’m falling asleep
And she’s calling a cab
While he’s having a smoke
And she’s taking a drag
Now they’re going to bed
And my stomach is sick
And it’s all in my head
But she’s touching his—chest
Now, he takes off her dress
Now, let me go
I just can’t look its killing me
And taking control
Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibis
But it’s just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
‘Cause I’m Mr Brightside
Great song too... I'd like to ask then what the song is really about.
There's a folk song called The Parting Glass that we played at my dad's funeral that generally results in me quietly blubing in the corner. Other songs have done that too, possibly because so much of my early musical tastes were based on what I could nick from his collection, and he had cracking taste in music.
Gigantic by The Pixies
And this I know
His teeth as white as snow
What a gas it was to see him
Walk her every day
Into a shady place
With her lips she said
She said
Hey Paul, Hey Paul, Hey Paul, let's have a ball
Gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
A big big love
Gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
A big big love
Lovely legs they are
What a big black mess
What a hunk of love
Walk her every day into a shady place
He's like the dark, but I'd want him
Hey Paul, Hey Paul, Hey Paul, let's have a ball
Gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
A big big love
Gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
A big big love
Gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
A big big love
Gigantic, gigantic, gigantic
A big big love
Dido.... Leaving on a Jet Plane
Leann Rimes - Can't Fight The Moonlight

Somewhere over the rainbow .................Eva Cassidy.

Two songs:
"New Gold Dream" by Simple Minds- reminds me of days spent as a student when the only real worry I had was where was I going to drink that night.
"With Or Without You" - U2 - same sort of reasons
Hndrix is high up there too. But i have so many favourites I'd bore you all to death.
Secret Garden by Bruce Springsteen
The Verve - The Drugs Don't Work
My fave song of all time.
and
They never worked for me.
