Hey there smile
I'm in need of some Radio stations to listen to in the afternoon.... have had a quick flick through the channels... but can't seem to find 1 that covers all area's really....
As I'm an at home mum, it's nice to hear some conversation via the radio... but not constantly rolleyes I also enjoy a wide variety of music, but the stations I have come across all tend to have sloppy love song type music on ALL afternoon
So I am asking for your opinions... do you have a favourite station in the afternoons?
Listening to music is banned at work, so I don't get to hear anything till 5:00pm when I tune into Radio 2 - but only for the travel news, I then bung in a CD. At weekends I find Virgin to be a reasonable station, easy to listen to for all ages, though the adverts do get on your nerves a bit. Saturday afternoon is shite, unless you like football as they interrupt songs when a goal is scored.
6 music is my favourite.. great mix on old and new indie, rock, classics etc.. with a bit of a leftfield slant. Quite funny too. Marc Riley is hilarious.
rolleyes
So far I have stopped at Radio1.. but the female presenter on there is doing my head in already lol
If you're near a computer then tryr some Internet radio - if you use winamp then all you have to do is open the media library and take your pick. I spent most of yesterday afternoon listening to Polish dance music, which isn't really my thing but made a pleasant change.
Radio 2 in the afternoons. (hell, most of the time really!) But normally switch it over to radio 4 and all the serious stuff from 5pm.
Mark Radcliffe late at night on R2..... from 10pm i think. Good yap and good music.
Radio 2 like Postie says
Does anyone have any of the Radio suggestions range thinggy dunno
