I was just curious with a subject that arose in the 'Let's Meet' Forum. How many of you have had random liasons with strangers in Supermarkets, public transport, the street etc, and what have they been like? Are they the subject of mere myth and fantasy or do these things go on?
This guy said that he had caught the eye of a lady in Sainsburys and the had played a flirtacious game of cat and mouse around the various aisles until things got a bit steamy. I've heard a few stories like this, I'm just intruiged as what experiences people have had - I'm all ears:
I have a female friend who met a guyi n Tesco and they had dinner a couple of times, she never let on if anything happened or not!!
Many years ago I caught the eye of a girl in a different check in queue to me in either Mallorca or Menorca. After we'd checked in and gone through passport control I discovered that somehow her flight was in a different glass box to mine.
She was headed for The Netherlands, me to blighty, we spent a happy half hour passing notes under the glass wall getting hotter and hotter without any possibility of satisfaction. Somewhere in Holland there's a middle aged hairdresser with a similar memory of a lost opportunity.
We're really very simple creatures arn't we, there's a turn on round every corner.
That sounds like a very poigniant story Musketeer. It's always a bit of a buzz when you catch a stranger's eye though - if it's in Morrisons or an Airport!
I've heard of certain supermarkets which actually have a reputation for this though, weather it's singles looking for other singles or for cruising! Some even have nights devoted to this with shoppers having Red, Amber or Green badges disignating what they're looking for!
Would anyone know of places like this? Just for the record, mind!

It's not a company policy, just something that seems to have spread. There is a theory that it started when there was advert on TV where a bloke tries to impress a girl in the supermarket by buying all the things she likes, putting into his basket whatever she puts in hers - they get to the checkout and he's blown it because has a pack of tampons in his basket. The advert was apparently only shown on Thursdays.
