At work today I was given a copy of the April Issue of the Electrical Times. Not the most interesting read by all accounts, but one my job dictates I read.
One page 5 there is almost a full column on how a midlands based electrical contractor company re fitted out Liberation (a club and hotel in leicestershire).
Blah Blah Blah, waffle waffle waffle.
BUT !!!!!!!!!!!!
The editor's "View Point takes up almost all of the rest of the page, and I quote as following.
SWINGING MILLENIUM
Call me naive but I did not even know there were such things as swingers hotels. Aparantly more than 1000 people have joined the Liberation hotel and club (see adjacent story on the left), and the owner Neil Armstrong-Nash, 37 and his wife Lianne, 35 plan to add another 30 beds. They are looking at other sites in the UK, including Greater London for a 140 bed hotel.
Further investigation (what sacrifices we editors have to make) took me to a website called www.swingingheaven.co.uk. In the club reviews section, several people have written reviews about Liberation.
Naturally I cannot repeat some of the stories here, given that electricians are such demure sensitive souls, but according to Calista and Morbius: "Drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere electric"
Well I was hoping to come up with some witty comment about not everybody in the electrical industry is demure and sensitive, but I'm not sure I can.
Have we made the pages of any more "high class reads"?
Ian

Not sure exactly of the copyright laws, but providing you specify the source and he did then you still hold the copyright... unfortunately he is also allowed to print it....

Is it in the current issue? If there was any misunderstanding, did anyone get their wires crossed?
lol Do you think the staff at 'Electrical Times Publications ltd' will be equally amazed that their magazine got a whole string to itself on a sex site.
I can see next months cover emblazoned with " AS SEEN ON SWINGING HEAVEN"

I wonder if the bookies will take bets on how quickly the site is inundated with usernames with all variation of "sparky". I notice the original "sparky" is already taken - so - whatya reckon: "BigSparky4U", or "6inchSparky", or "plugmein" :P

So did you get a buzz from it or was it shocking to read?
I dont want to upset anyone over this, but
Neil and Leanne have left Liberations, it is currently being run by Vince, who has slashed the door entrance fees.
So I think their reporting is a little out of date
Well expect two more articles from "Electrical Times" as being of industrial standard they should usually operate in three phase.........
i think all this needs to be earthed back to reality. redface
OMFG!

calista i'm trying to think of something funny, but for once i'm speechless! lol
n x x x ;)
There is a 3 page article about dogging and outdoor antics at 2 well known sites off the M4 near Bristol/Bath in this week's edition of "The Venue", which is a weekly 'what's on' magazine for the Bristol and Bath area.
A reporter and photograher were despatched to investigate what happens on an evening. It went into considerable detail, even down to describing the "cars entering and leaving the site in a steady stream all evening" & how the "the woman then moved to the picnic table..."
You'll have to buy it to find out what happened next
Disclaimer... I have no association with the publishers of The Venue biggrin

I don't think the article is either positive or negative and I certainly wouldn't blow a fuse if I saw my name in that publication. I think the Editor got the mains point across and he is clearly a down to earth chap.
Incidently, I wonder if the Editor's favourite group is AC/DC?
Perhaps he swings three phase.
John

I reckon he is a live wire.
