Hi People,
Could anyone tell me if i bought a dongle and connected it to my laptop, would it wourk abroad? also could i pair it up to the ipod touch at the same time as using it on my laptop?
I have looked around but dont seem to be getting anywhere.
Thanks swingers xxxxxxxxxxxx
I'll move this into the main Cafe forum for you - probably get a few more looks there.

You would have to get confirmation about using it abroad, as different networks have different tariffs, which may or may not include 'roaming'.
As for the ipod touch, I can't answer that.
i asked about this myself earlier in the year.....yes it works abroad....but with all dongles..you get so much downloads a month for your money...when abroad you only get about a third of the downloads value that you would in the uk.
I would be very wary of pricing abroad they may sting you......ring your network b4 you go.....as for the ipod touch.....just take your cable with you if you are taking your lappie anyway smile

P.s dont forget there is a technical thread for any tech questions :)
I agree with Gary... but you will only be able to pair your ipod up if you are using a router... you won't be able to use it on its own... if you're in a wifi area you should be ok to use it on its own though.
Hope this helps!

you can actually use your ipod touch wirelessly using internet connection sharing, basically the dongle is your internet connection and you share it through the laptops wirless connection.
Thanks everyone for all the help i think i might leave things at home and just enjoy the holiday i thought it might help my daughter when she is being a typical teenager lol.
Thanks again xxxxxxxxxx
I've used my dongle abroad (oh er missus) but the cost was enormous at nearly £5k for 3 days so i wouldn't recommend it.
