I know all about long distance relationships. First four years of married life, Jon and I spent less than 10 months together in total sad

Good for you two for making it work biggrin
However, if the love is truly there in the first place, it will remain.

Well I thought it was but looking back it probably had more to do with the idea of being in love.
If it fizzles out, then it was never really there in the first place for one or both parties :(

On the plus side however, I was in Cyprus, so was great being single for tourist season boink
If you dont mind me sugesting that you burn her photographs and all her letters, make a little cermony of it{nothing horrible just moving on and to forget it}then go out with your mates and have a realy good time you will meet some one new and then you can take it from there.
Took me ages to get over my first 'true' love.
It's a good morning when you wake up and they aren't the first thing you think about.
It does come, honest and you gotta go through it .... shitty but true. Soz.

If ,and when the thought of her making love with someone else doesn't rip your heart out then it might be safe for you to be,'friends' again, but untill then put her into a corner of your heart for the memory of a time when life was sweet for you both.
You must do this, and go forward as she also yourself lucky to have shared a love with her, because many people never have, or will find such a love with anyone.
Be in no rush to replace her as it is unfair to the next person involved, and seldom works out whilst you have not,'healed'.
You will know when you are over it,and ready to move on when for example, you were to see her addy on swinging heaven, and you can say to yourself, 'fair play to her'.
I wish you well.

When I first saw this thread I new what I was going to post. Then i read
It takes 3-4 months for each year you have known someone to get over them.

:taz:
Damn and b*****ks Tania got there first
Yes, but can you remember where that statistic came from? My brain has stopped working and people thought I was making it up trying to sound omniscient. lol
Well, if 3 to 4 months per year is true, I'll be dead before I feel OK, after 27 years...
banghead Sorry Tania no I cant, but it was years ago that I heard it
rob/cc7up,
