I also find it surprising that, in the say and age, there are people who would assume that because they don't use condoms, others wouldn't either.

I wasn't making a sweeping statement about anyone or just talking about couples, and I wouldn't want it to be taken as such - hence I said 'seems' rare.
Of course you are right in saying that you can't tell if it's the couple themselves just playing together in the picture - unless there is a third party present.
