the little triangle of thong question

whats the point of the little triangle of material at the rear of a thong? ive asked rose and she dont know..
damned if i know ,, just saw a pic of the back of a girl wearing one shes standing totally naked except for this little black triangle of material, until i enlarged the pic i thought she was face on and needed to shave..

It's easier to sew the thong strings together by attaching them around the edge of the triangle rather than meeting in a T-junction. It's a stronger join and less likely to unravel in the wash or with wear.

As I once had to tell a work colleague who wanted to know the difference between a thong an a g-string.....
A thong is a pair of pants with bum cheek covering taken away.........a g-string is when they just have the elastic and nothing else lol

and knickers are for when its cold and your bum cheeks need tobe warm lol

so thongs with the little triangle are worn by girls that wish to make their bums look 'rounder'? well girls is that why you wear them?
an in edit...considering most thongs only appear out the top of a pair of low rise jeans how does that work?
as an aside i think that looks awful
