It’s still several months before the banquet takes place but I need to confirm our booking with a deposit of £10 per person before the end of September. Will all the people that have yet to send me their deposits please do so by the middle of next week at the latest. If you need my address details again then just ask and I’ll send them by pm.
For those interested in coming but can’t commit yet we will be able to add numbers (with a £10 deposit) right up until a few days before as long as there are spaces still available. The hall holds up to 164 people and the last time I checked they had taken bookings for 77 (including a provisional figure of 60 from me). That may seem like a lot of empty seats but it only takes one or two other group bookings and they’ll soon disappear so the earlier you get your name down the better.
What are we wearing?????????
Dressing up for the occasion is optional. I’m personally in favour of the idea and the local fancy dress shop reckon they can kit me out for the weekend for about £18. Not everyone likes the idea of fancy dress though so it would be nice to get some feedback. I don’t want to be the only muppet there in a costume and similarly I wouldn’t like to be the only person dressed casually if everyone else had made the effort. What d’ya reckon?
Steve

No, no, no, no!
Two parties - no fancy dress - not ever, never at all!
We're hopefully going in fancy dress (I will get the money sent Steve - just been a tight few weeks) but might be sleeping in the car! Must get some accommodation sorted.
Will there be flagons of ale , and a roasted suckling pig ?

Couldn’t you get away with just wearing your normal clothes with a hat and a cape? You could always take the hat and cape off if you felt too uncomfortable or ridiculous.
I used to dread fancy dress but since I’ve been on here I’ve had to endure wearing it several times and now I just regard it as another daft thing that everybody occasionally does.
Steve
We're dressing up!! i'll be wearing the best cleavage enhancing corset i can find with a big swishy skirt!! (ok, whatever medieval outfit my local fancy dress shop has to offer!!)
The only thing is...... how do i convince daz to dress up being its supposed to be a surprise for his birthday???
Misschief and myself will be attending in fancy dress........... (I think that’s what Misschief meant by saying she would polish my crown jewels?) wink
I am definitely dressing up. I am thinking of combining 2 previous fancy dress outfits that aI have used recently. A Mermaids Outfit  and Little Red Riding Hood   which I think together will make a perfect Medieval Damsel. It's only Plan A so I won't be over concerned till nearer the time.
Steveg - whatever you do don't let that nice lady in the shop talk you into the PVC Cowboy outfit lol

Not a chance!
I have been asked to resurrect the kilt outfit but I'm not sure how well it would go down. It would have to be more of a Braveheart outfit to fit in with the medieval theme. Long time to go yet though.
Steve
We don't do fancy dress. rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Come to think of it I think I've seen you in fancy dress more times than I've seen you dressed normally (or even undressed normally for that matter  ).
