I'd just been reminiscing with Vix over the pic in FlapJackBoy's old sig line which was captioned: "When it absolutely, positively has to be a rabbit with a pancake on it's head." Used to amuse me to no end every time I happened upon one of his posts.
These fond memories inspired me to go to Google and type "rabbit with a pancake on it's head" in the query box. Among the first ten results, I came across , wherein I learned that the rabbit's name was Oolong and found no less than 340 pages each filled with pics of Oolong balancing various things on his head (apparently, he had a particular talent for this).
Then, I encounter the sad news:
I'm sorry for this news, Oolong passed away on January 7th, 2003.
He was so well and cheerful as usual, but at 14:30 his condition changed suddenly,
and he couldn't support himself less and less, seemed to feel dull.
Then at 19:30, he softly stopped breathing in the arms of his owner
and completed his eight years and five months and more several days life
filled with various adventure.
Since opening this website, Oolong had gotten incredible lots of support
from all over the world, not only in Japan, more than 25 countries.
Surely he seems to be the best fortunate rabbit in the world.
Thank you very much for your warmth.
There is still some stock of Oolong's photograph not released yet,
so this site will be regularly updated so far. Here he can live for ever.
Wishing he can also live in hearts of you all, please.

So a moment of silence, if you please, for our dear, departed Oolong... ...I shall always remember him fondly as the mammal/breakfast-food combination that brought a ray of sunshine into our lives.
Rest in peace, little bunny...
~Reese! surprised
Zorba the Greek Rampant Rabbit and I would also like to join Reese in this moving tribute to a true Rabbit Superstar.
He bought a whole new meaning to the phrase"On me 'ead Son!On me 'ead!"
Zorba would also like to say his own special words in memory of his departed friend:"Tzickylickylackyzackylickylicky!"
Rodentia remorse. sad
Yes, he now frolicks around in that great carrot field in the sky. Here's to you, Oolong.
im sure that he will be putting things on his head in that great warren in the sky ,sitting beside Horba, the great rabbit god, looking down on us ,enjoying the tributes coming in.

Rabbits are Lagomorphs, not rodents.

I'm such a nerd
RIP Oolong
OH I really loved that pic and even tried to make my dog balance various food stuffs on his head for the avatar challange (since I don't have a rabbit). RIP Oolong
(BTW is Oolong a type of tea?)
Do you know, when I saw the subject title of this threa, I automatically assumed you were refering to the battery operated kind.
HELP! I need to get away from here...!

I dunno... I change my sig and suddenly it's the end of the world...wink
OK. That rather strapping gentleman in my sig is a Space Marine. A genetically engineered warrior in a sci-fi wargame called Warhammer 40,000 that I used to play quite a bit. This particular marine is from the Crimson Fists chapter.
My new avatar is my South Park alter-ego. You can create your own
Well don't like the sig. but have now decided the avi thing is quite kewl. I have created myself but cannot figure out how to save it now.
Do a printscreen of the window your pic is in, then import it into your graphics package of choice and crop to size, then resize to avatar dimensions.

I was saddened to hear of the death of our beloved Oolong but it does bring home the gravity of the cliché............
Never leave home without your lucky rabbits foot.
